I am torn between the 2. I currently have a dinner ressie for 5PM at Kona on a night where Im attending MNSSHP but was thinking of going to Crystal Palace for breakfast that day then doing a Counter service at the party. I figure it will give us more time at the party. We are 2 adults so even though dining with characters is nice its not that important to us.
PS we will be on our honeymoon.

I would keep Kona. We had breakfast at CP and it was fine, but nothing stood out as being great (I can't remember what I are). CP breakfast is also loud and full of kids - GREAT if you have kids, but as a honeymooner I think you need a different atmosphere. Kona - we had lunch. The food was fine. Desserts were good. I think the food is better than CP.

I'm going to go the other way and say keep CP. While I like the Kona dinner menu (esp. the pork chop), that is not a intimate, quiet, or romantic location by any measure. Being in the upper lobby nestled between Ohana, always busy with people waiting for their ADR time, and all the people flooding off the monorail, we could barely hear each other speak.

CP breakfast is, imho, the best character meal in the World and I've done a bunch. The decor is charming, the food is very good, and the pooh characters aren't ones you can always find in the parks. It's quintessentially disney. I've been there with just adults and saw couples and other all-adult parties loving it.

There are kids at every restaurant on property, that's WDW, but the real question is, do you want characters or not?

I agree. I personally dont think Kona has a very nice atmosphere...esp with all the ppl waiting for ohana adr's. I would go with CP breakfast. I always loved it there!

I would not waste party time eating at a TS restaurant.

Even though we do enjoy eating at CP from time to time, we love breakfast at Kona Cafe much more. We get the Tonga Toast, which is French Toast stuffed with bananas. We love it. Plus we have never been disappointed with a dinner there either. No characters at either of those and, I agree, it isn't real quiet, but we still enjoy it very much.

even though we love Kona, I would not go the night of a party. We do a big breakfast or lunch the day of the MNSSHP and then do CS for dinner.
