What time do they start serving dinner at Kona? All Ears used to have the hours listed, but they are not on there now with the new menu.

From the link on DIS site
"Kona Hours:
Breakfast 7:30am - 11:30am;
Lunch 12:00pm - 3:00pm;
Dinner 5:00pm - 10:00pm "

I've never been, so I'm not sure. Just wanted to say hi to another triplet mom! My BBG turned 6 in June. There's a multiple thread on the Family Board.

Yes, this is a casual restaurant that would be acceptable for your 2 year olds. We just returned from our trip (6/22 to 7/2/06). We (me, my wife and 2 daughters, ages 3 and 5) absolutely LOVED Kona Cafe.

We ate there about a month ago and it opened at 5:00pm.

It's casual, and fine for families, but kids do need to be able to use inside voices and sit in their chairs like with any restaurant for the comfort of other diners and safety of the kids and waitstaff.

If they haven't mastered those concepts, then IMHO you'd be better off at a counter service place until they do.

Yes, they have mastered these concepts, but they're still 2 year olds...

By the way, I love the picture in your signature. Keira Knightley inspired my daughter's name!

Would all that have eaten at Kona , give some advice on the best dinner entree? We too are going to dinner there for the the first time.

We have eaten at Kona many times. I can personally recommend the Terriyaki Steak and the Macadamia nut Mahi. I didn't care for the coconut almond chicken. The prime rib was very fatty. The Kona salad is very good as are the sticky wings. Desserts are fantastic.

Actually, I'm the OP. I'm leaving my triplets home and going with a girlfriend for her birthday! But I'll make sure to use my inside voice when we're there! ;)

Well, since we both have triplets (my BBG just turned 6), it did get a little confusing. I went to WDW with another triplet mom in December and we all ate at WCC. 2 sets of 5 year old BBG triplets. Now that was a fun meal!

It must be really hard work but oh so rewarding.

I bet you all had so much fun. :grouphug:

Myself, DH and our 2 boys are so looking forward to our trip in September. We are going to have as much fun as possible with our loudest most happiest voices!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :banana: :Pinkbounc :woohoo:

Why would you purposely use your loudest voices in a restaurant?

Oh go away and bother someone else. You clearly have no idea of fun or indeed the use of sarcastic wit. :lmao:

I asked a legitimate question, you obviously have a problem with comprehending English.

Never mind, with that attitude, I guess I got my answer. :rolleyes:

Why would i reply to you in any other way? You seem to enjoy being rude so why are you allowed but nobody else? You clearly enjoy :stir: and hate the fact that i disagree with you.
If you had bothered to read my post properly i was referring to my vacation not dining in a restaurant. :rolleyes1

When you first posted on your other thread i started out having some sympathy for you. I felt, at the time, that you had as much right to enjoy your meal as anyone else.
However, your continued rudeness throughout the thread and your inability to accept that others do not have to agree with you, made me change my view entirely.

You upset a lot of people that purely come onto this site to get excited about their plans and who save bloody hard to afford this type of vacation. Your generalisation of people on the DDP and your total disregard for others feelings led me to believe that either you are totally set in your own ways or you can't even see past your view and see that you are upsetting people.

A lot of people on your thread kindly asked you to take back some of the nasty comments you made as they were totally uncalled for but as yet i have not seen any retraction from you.

A lot of people can only afford to do this type of vacation once and all they need when they decide to dine at a more "upscale" restaurant is you sitting there complaining to everyone.

We are lucky that we can afford to go to WDW every year from the UK. Spare a thought for those who cannot do this and maybe have a dream restaurant that they want to dine in WITH their children as apposed to getting them a sitter.

You had no need to post on this thread as my conversation was not with you it was with another VERY NICE poster who is also excited like me about WDW.

You really need to know when to give it a rest. :stir:
