Right now I have Kona as dinner, but mom's favorite meal of the day is breakfast and the Tonga Toast, Macadamia Nut Pancakes, and that coffee press are making me want to change my dinner reservation to breakfast! Do ya'll prefer Kona at dinner or breakfast? Sweet niblets this is difficult!

You can get the Tonga toast at the at fast food counter at the Poly. This way you can grab a quick breakfast and get on with your day!

We prefer breakfast. The Tonga Toast always tastes better at Kona with the press pot and last trip we got the Macademia nut pancakes to split with our Tonga Toast , well let me tell you we were fighting over the last of the pancakes. :cloud9:  We had to go back and get more pancakes before we left the World. If your Mom is a breakfast person this is a great one. GO FOR IT!!!

I would have to choose the breakfast, it is soooo good. We liked dinner but truthfully the only thing that made it stand out from other steaks we ate was the bread and the wings...and I can get the wings at the bar by Ohana.

I'd do breakfast. The only thing we've enjoyed at dinner are the appetizers and desserts.

Although we enjoy the steaks for dinner (Have eaten there three times!) ... breakfast is awfully good too. Maybe you should plan one of each? If you are on the dining plan and don't want to pay OOP, you would have to play around with your meals -- since breakfast would count as a TS.

But Tonga Toast is good ... and although I have not been there since Captain Cook was renovated [and served Tonga Toast]... there is something to being served on china at a table that makes a meal special.

Good luck in deciding. Now I am hungry for Tonga Toast! :)

We LOVE breakfast and dinner at the Kona Cafe, and currently have 2 breakfast ADRs and 1 dinner ADR for our May trip.

But if I HAD to choose only 1 meal, I'd probably go with breakfast because I think there are many great places for dinner at WDW, but the breakfast at the Kona Cafe is outstanding. My personal favorite is the pineapple-macadamia nut pancakes! :thumbsup2

We ate there for breakfast and dinner on our last trip and loved them both. I don't think you will go wrong with either one.

It is definitely a win-win, the hard part is having to decide on one or the other!!! IMHO, I say go for both, then you'll all be happy and they'll be no wondering what you may have missed out on!!!

I'm doing both!! I figured both sound great, and I've got the dining plan so why the heck not!!

I've heard so many wonderful things about the breakfast however are there any dinner item that are not to be missed???

Yes I think I will keep both my breakfast AND dinner ressies!

What should I have for dinner?

DH and I just ate there about 6 weeks ago for Breakfast and it was YUMMY! Mark ordered the Tonga Toast and I had the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes. I LOVED them!!! I am going to have to try and make them here because I keep thinking about them.

You CANNOT go wrong with breakfast in my opinion!
