I booked a 6:05 pm ADR at Kona (our 1st time dining there). Will we make it to MK in time for an 8 pm Spectro? TIA :)

Good sitting and viewing area, no.
Stand and watch with possible neck craning, maybe.

It will be tight.

Thanks for the info. I may call back & try for an earlier time. We're usually late diners & 6:05 seems early. Eating before then is more like a late lunch for us. :p What time should I try for?

Kona is my favorite restaurant on DIsney property, but I enjoy their dinner much more then their lunch, I would not switch to a late lunch!

I think you should have no problem making it as long as you are not particular about your viewing location.

I'm glad to see you like it so much. We had a hard time choosing this meal. It came down to Kona & the Signature restaurants on the monorail loop, & my DS chose Kona.

We definitely won't switch to lunch. We always have our biggest meal at dinner. I was saying that if we booked our ADR any earlier than 6:00, it would seem like a late lunch to us. We usually eat around 8:00.

Thanks for the tip. For some reason, we usually watch from Main St. :confused3 It doesn't really matter where we watch from though. Where should we go in Frontier Land to get a good view at the last minute? I'm vertically challenged & need to be near the front. :sad2:

I agree that you should be able to get there in time to see Spectro. It will likely be crowded around Main Street, but you still get a pretty good view from in front of Tony's. Another suggestion, especially if you arrive late, is to take the train to Frontierland when you get to the park and watch from down there. It will take Spectro a while to get there and you might get a better viweing location. In any case, the train ride is always fun.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep that in mind in case we're cutting it too close. Does the train run, during the parade? We haven't ridden it in a long time.

I agree, dinner at Kona is a must do for me, while I have never had more then an average meal for lunch there.

Possibly, but my advice is not to plan on it. Kona is a great place to eat and worrying about eating quickly to get to Spectro is not a good way to enjoy it.

Is there no other night to catch Spectro? I know that some nights they run two shows.

The train does stop at some point for the parade. It may not be running once the parade has started.

Another positive review! :cool1:

Unfortunately, it is our only night to see the parade & there's only one showing. Our other night at the MK will be a MNSSHP night.

Good to know! :thumbsup2 Hopefully, we'll get there in time to either catch the train or cut through the Main Street shops to get to Frontierland.

The closer to Splash Mtn the thinner the crowd usually is...usually only one-two people deep. If the train is not running (it should be), you can walk throught the Main Street shops on the left side and come out through Casey's, cut through Adventure Land and cross over by Alladin into Frontier Land.

I would try and get a later dinner time, after spectro

I considered that. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time choosing a restaurant & time for this one meal. I've been happen with my other plans, since I made them 180 days out. :confused3

1st, I booked Tony's in hopes of seeing the parade from their outdoor seating. Then, I chickened out thinking the parade view isn't worth mediocre food two nights in a row. Next, I tossed around the ideas of Kona before Spectro or Narcoossee's (or may Citrico's) after Spectro. I didn't know about timing for seeing Wishes from the restaurant, & my DS chose Kona's menu over the others, so I booked that. I'm still not sure that's what I want to do.
