Kona @ 745

We will be staying at POR and have an ADR for Kona on a Thursday morning @ 745. Planning to catch the bus around 645 to MK, and then Monorail to Poly. Would prefer not to get a taxi/etc.

Is this the best way to get there, and is that enough time/more than enough time?

It *should* be enough time. But keep in mind Disney recommends you allow 90 minutes using their transportation to make it to an ADR.

I had not heard that before. But makes sense, they have to do a little bit of CYA. I would not think it would take 90 mins, but with it being early in the morning and not knowing the consistency of Bus/Monorail at that time of the day......I was thinking an hour would be enough....

I know you said you didn't want to use a taxi but maybe you should consider Lyft or Uber, especially if you don't already have those apps.

They have new user perks that would make your ride nearly free and give you more time to sleep.

The best way is to taxi to the Poly. Very fast. We dine at Kona @7:30 am on each trip. We used to try take the bus to MK and then the monorail. Unpredictable as far as time goes; you are depending on two different transports. The monorail may not be running that early, depending on time of year and maintenance issues. Start your day with no hassles by taking a taxi and enjoying a relaxing breakfast.

I'm familiar to Uber, but have never used it. I download the app in Atlanta about a year ago while on a business trip in case I needed it. Explain to me the "perks" and "almost free".
