Kohl's Dyson sale

Just wanted to share. DH and I were in Kohl's yesterday looking for maternity clothes and we walked around checking stuff out. The Dyson's were all on sale, good sale. We just bought a DC33 all floors at Best Buy on Thursday (my vacuum was dying on me after vacuuming one room and getting clogged every single time). It was $400, w/ a 10% off coupon and w/ tax we ended up paying around $380. At Kohl's, it was $319 before tax. I was shocked to say the least! The DC25 animal (w/ the ball) was $450.

We bought ours a year ago from Kohls. They were doing one of the 15/20/30% off with Kohl's charge sales and I happened to get the 30%. I used my 30% coupon and found out they were also doing bounce back as well, get $10 back for every $50 you spend. Anyway, we got the purple dyson DC25 animal ball for $300 something. Don't remember exactly, but it was an awesome sale. I have seen them do that a couple times since then, so if you are looking for a Dyson and aren't in a rush, wait for them to do that again.

Well - I have to be honest and tell you the whole story.

Before my wife and I got married she ask me what she and her sister should buy their Mom for Christmas one year - as she is the type that has everything - needs nothing - and requires a little outside the box thinking on gifts. (Although she REALLY appreciates anything you give her - after all - do any of us really NEED anything these day?!?!??!)

But anyway - I had worked at Sears around when Dyson first hit the market in the US several years ago - and I KNEW that they were very high quality - and filtered very well. So, knowing that my Mother-In-Law has many pets and loves them all dearly, I figured she could used a great vacuum that would be good on steps, hardwood floors, tile, upholstery etc etc - so I said - BUY HER A DYSON! Since it was the two of them going together - they did it.

That Fall we got married - and went to visit my wife's family one weekend and my DMIL was complaining that the vacuum was too complicated and it just frustrated her - and told my DW - if you want it you can have it - I can't use it for the life of me!

So - she gave us the vacuum! A DYSON!

DSIL was still in college at the time and had no need of it - and agreed that it should be put to use!

I don't mind vacuuming at all with the Dyson! DW loves that!

But anyway - sorry for the long story - just thought it was funny!
