We NEVER pay our bills late EVER, but by mistake, we misplaced and forgot about our Kohl's bill in November (for our October purchases).
I figured it out only three days late and called them to tell them I had mailed it late (but in full), and to try and get the late fee removed off of our next bill. They agreed, and when our December bill (for November purchases) came, it had the adjusted "late fee", and something like $1.25 in interest, plus our purchases. We paid the full amount on time.
We got our January bill yesterday (for our December purchases) and it also has another $1.25 or so interest charge.
I'm not familiar with this, but are we STILL paying an interest fee because we were late to pay in November, so they started charging interest in the new billing period? Or does it sound like a mistake?
