Has anyone purchased the Kodak digital Easy Share camera? This is the one where you have a docking station and printer and you can print right from the camera to the printer without needing a computer. It makes 4x6 prints with a printer paper/ink cartridge. If you do have one, how do you like it and how many pixels did you get? They have one now w/5K pix. and the pkg. costs about $350. It looks really great for someone who isn't super w/a computer(me). My husband has a great dig. camera but 2 years later, he has yet to send in a single photo for printing. Thanks for your help. Threeehearts

I've been looking at one of these too, so I'm anxious to see the responses. :Pinkbounc

We have always been "real" camera people.
Last year my DH came home one day with a Kodak Easy Share DX6340 and I must admit I was really not keen on the idea.

Boy, was I wrong! I am crazy about this camera!

It takes the most fantastic pictures! The software is easy enough for even ME to use and I am NOT technically minded. I love the docking station- super easy, in fact I just printed out a few pictures this morning to send to a friend! The print quality is second to none.

I had a question once recently that I could not figure out on my own and called their tech support #. The young man that helped me was incredibly patient and took 45 minutes to teach me how to do what I needed to do. Never rushed me, even though I kept making mistakes he just said "that's alright, you'll get it. Let's start over". :D This was at no cost to me.

I love being able to keep my 2 sisters, who live 600 and 900 miles away, up to date on my kids. We come home from a school event or a fun day-trip and presto! I email pictures to them right away. It has really helped to keep us connected as a family.
I can assure you that you will not be disappointed by making this purchase.
I have seen adds in the newspaper lately for them, where everything is included ( meaning the station and everything) and I am amazed at how much the price has come down since we bought ours too!

Two years ago, after a trip to Disney World it cost me over $250 to have all of our pictures developed at Sam's club.

Last year we took over 500 pictures on our new Kodak Easy Share. I have them on a disc! Now I have more $$ to spend on our trips!

* I do not work for Kodak! :D

I love mine!!! I have the Kodak Easy Share DX6440 which came with the dock that recharges the battery, and also loads directly to my computer. I opted not to get the printer dock because the photo lady kind of talked me out of it because of the cost of the paper/ink cartridges. I absolutely LOVE mine!! It is a 4.0 megapixel, and a decent zoom.....lovin' it!! I can't wait to go to DIS in June to try it out!!

We have the DX6440 also. Its a great camera. I had a cheaper Kodak Easy Share camera first to make sure I liked it.

BTW, you definately DO NOT need the camera dock. Just buy yourself a battery charger. The pictures are super easy to transfer from the camera to the PC.

I agree with the above posters about the dock, it is NOT a necessary thing. Having said that though, I must say the print quality is so fantastic that I am glad we have ours. Our pc printer is a HP Deskjet 952 c and their Photo paper in comparably priced but the print quality just doesn't compare.

A nice feature is the configuration options you can choose from.
For example: 4x6, 2-up wallets, 6-up passport, 4 -up 1.75x 2.75 in., 1 up 10x 15 cm (centered) and a 20 pic index card.

It is fun for my daughter who is 9 and likes to scrapbook. I ask her to use one of the smaller picture options so she gets more pictures, just not as big. No waste. It is also great for sending a picture to someone, like the grandmother who is not a pc owner and therefore doesn't "do" email, if I just want her to see a picture but know that she doesn't need to frame it or anything. I print out the 2-ups for her so she can stick them in her purse and show off the grandkids when she is out to lunch with her gal-friends.
True the paper packs aren't cheap but because you only print out the pictures you really want to, they go a long way.

Alright! I have to have it. I am going to get one today. These positive reviews only add to the ones I read about online. Threehearts

I like mine, but my computer keeps forgetting it's compatible without and I can't get my pics to download.:( It's just my computer though. If I hadn't just bought a printer a few months ago, I'd get one with the docking station. My SIL is going to buy one for her easyshare, I guess I'll have an excuse to see her more often.:)

I bought one w/the printer dock about 3 months ago. I love it! I too am not a super computer user, I did however sit down w/the directions and was able to easily download pics and email them now. The printer comes in great when you need just 1 or 2 pics and don't want to develope a whole roll of film.

Well, I didn't get my camera today after all. I can't find any good deals at stores near me and I need it for Chincoteague this weekend so I don't have the internet as an option. I'll keep you posted. Threehearts

I am on my 2nd Kodac, I upgraded because I needed MORE PIXELS!!!

I have the LS443 it is a Kodac 4.O megapixel with a dock (but not the printer one) I love this camera. The picture of my son was taken with the old Kodac, the picture of the flowers was taken with my new one, just to give u an idea. I bought mine at Best Buy where they honored an advertised competitor's price.

PS keep in mind I'm not a great photographer lol
