May 8th, Mothers' Day, our final day.

We woke up, loaded up, and rode over to the Pepper Market for breakfast. Perfect place for our family of picky eaters. Knucklehead will eat this or that, but never this and that. Bo Bo's happy with just eggs.

We decided to go to MGM, since we still hadn't seen the new Lights, Motors, Action! and then head home.
We were not alone in our decision. MGM that day, was the most crowded park we had seen all week. The beautiful weather must have brought everyone out. Well, that and Mothers' Day.

Knucklehead retrieved a couple of roses for his Mom at the entrance to MGM. We strolled up to the hat and looked at pins. Knucklehead and DW rode Star Tours, and then we just strolled around shopping. We made it over to Lights, Motors, Action! just as they were piling people in. For future reference, either get a fast pass, or get there early if you don't want to have to climb up up up and over in the Stadium. Also, you don't necessarily want to be right up front, unless you really enjoy loud firey explosions. We felt the heat from the final explosion at the top of the stands. Bo Bo was not impressed. Knucklehead was. This was his kind of thing. Herbie made a guest appearance and then had to split.

We reluctantly did the same. But first, we made one last visit to DTD. There was a toy at Once Upon a Toy that Knucklehead just had to have. Of course, when we got over there, Knucklehead had changed his mind. Bo Bo found a singing Wiggles microphone that he wouldn't let go of, so we bought it. Knucklehead "settled" for the Indiana Jones GI Joe. He deserved it. He was so well behaved this trip. There was only one melt down and that was that first day at Epcot. He never complained again about doing things that others wanted to do.

On the drive home we heard "Quack Quack Quack Quack C*ck-a-Doodle," and "Wake Up Jeff" about a thousand times. I almost threw it out at the South Carolina Welcome Center, but DW distracted me. She came around from the back of the van and said, "Guess what."
"Nooo."
"Yep, the tags gone."
"Oh well."

I so enjoyed your trip report, Stitch. Read it all in one sitting over coco puffs.lol It sounds like your folks enjoyed WDW, especially experiencing it with their grandkids. I liked the pic of them with the boys riding Aladdin's Carpets the best...the way your dad had his arm around little Bo Bo was touching. And I can relate to your dad's sunflower seed addiction as a friend of mine got me hooked on them once and I thought I'd have to join a 10 step program to get rid of that habbit.hehe

Thanks for the great read!

Thanks jennymouse,
My parents had a ball. I don't think we'll have a hard time convincing them to go again next year. pirate:

Well, well, well, StitchInside, I hope you're happy. I work from home, and my boss has been faxing me relentlessly for the last couple of hours. Instead of being a good girl and getting my work done, I've sat here and read your entire report, Day 1 thru 10. I kept telling myself that I would just read to the end of a day, then get back to work, but your report was just too addictive.

I am a huge fan of your dad, now. I got tears in my eyes when I saw the photo of him and your mom riding Alladin's carpets with your boys.

And to think that your folks hadn't been since 1972! Their eyes must have been popping out of their heads at all the new sights. But something tells me that they probably spent more time looking at their beautiful grandsons.

Okay, I've got to hit this pile of faxes hard.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great report.

PeterPanette,

I believe my parents would have been overwhelmed if they hadn't had such a wonderful tour guide in Knucklehead. ;)

Thanks for the compliments, and I'm sorry if I got you in trouble. pirate:

Really enjoyed reading your reports ~ Thanx for posting.

Thanks Bride2Be, but shouldn't you be getting ready for a wedding?
I hope you have a wonderful wedding and Disneymoon. We really liked the AKL.
I guess you're going to have to at least change your DIS screen name, if you're not changing your last name. ;)

What a great report. My favorite picture is of Knucklehead and Bo Bo walking along together. I'm glad you all had such a great time!

Well done on another first rate family report. have loved every bit of it and just hope there will be another trip soon so we can have another report. Your boys are gorgeous and it was a pleasure to be part of your family for a little while,

Claire xx

Thanks fizz13 and babybunrab,
We leave tomorrow morning for a short trip (4 nights). :teeth: I plan on reading up on how to use my camera on the way down. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more and better pictures this time. pirate:
