Know of An Effective Way To Fade Haircolor?

If she highlighted it but any type of bleaching product, the prell won't make a difference in the color. If it was bleached with a haircolor product it will likely fade that off--but won't put color back into the hair shaft.

Do you have any suggestions to fade it anymore then?????? Help!! She has med brown hair, the highlights werent' really blonde just a lighter brown (if that makes any sense.. )

This might sound dumb but why don't you just call the salon and have them fix it? My salon is happy to fix up any minor or even major issues with my hair if I have them.

See my first post. I know she would fix it but I can't get to the salon until, maybe, Sunday.

I don't think you can fade anything that has been highlighted or lifted higher than your normal color. Some of my highlights are blonde and some are light brown. The "red" was not a "lift" of color but something added in, so, theoretically, the Prell could remove some of the pigment. This won't work with anything that lifted your daughter's color up.

Sorry I read your post as you not wanting to go in to her. I didn't quite understand why. I wouldn't try to do it myself personally because I have seen what happens when people try to color correct their hair. It almost never works nor looks good.

You are going to ruin your hair with overuse of the Prell or other strong detergents. (Experience talking here - I ended up with cotton candy hair trying to do just what you are doing).

Make the time. Seriously. Call and tell her your predicament and lack of time and see if they can accommodate your schedule before Sunday. If not, go in on Sunday, but stop torturing your hair with those brutal detergents. Unless of course you do want burgundy-pink cotton candy hair! :scared1:
