We are going down to Anaheim in a few weeks. We are AP holders and are spending 2-3 days at the park but we are staying in Anaheim at a relatives house for a week. We were thinking Tues, Weds and/or Thurs at DL. We don't do any other theme park besides the DLR but DH wants a change of pace. We have 2 sons (7 & 2) but I don't know where else to take them. We don't mind a one day drive to SD so we are ok with going to the Zoo, Sea World, or Legoland. DH was thinking US as he wants to take DS7 on the Transformer ride (DS fave ride at DL is Pirates) He also said maybe Knotts might be fun for them (he's been, I haven't). I've been to the Zoo (like 20 years ago!!) and Legoland when DS7 was 3 (w/o DH--I didn't care for the very long lines and the very short rides). DH and I have been to US on separate visits years ago neither of us have been to SW. DS7 likes rides but doesn't care for Space Mnt (though he likes BTMRR and RSR and Star Tours). DS2 likes rides but can act like a cat about to get a bath if he gets scared.
I know these are all very different, geared to very different audiences but which would you choose. I want something the boys can both do and it won't be just DS7 riding a ton of rides while DS2 just sits there or vice versa. We also don't want to go to a place where the kids are too scared to ride any rides (which is why I think US and maybe Knotts might be out). Thank you for any and all input!! :goodvibes

I would look at the different parks and see the hight restrictions as your 2yr old could have problems. Honestly I have been to all of these parks & for the young ones Legoland & SeaWorld are the best imo. Seaworld has all the animals & Legoland is more of a young person especially kids who love Legos park. Legoland is a park that kids will outgrow where as the other parks kids grow into as more is available to them as they grow older. Knotts has a lot of roller coasters & does have camp snoopy but I would wait on this one until your 2yr. Old was older. The zoo is ok but quite hilly not so fun with a stroller & there's a lot of walking uphill. If I were you I would go to legoland but it just depends on what your fammily likes. I would choose it because ds7 hasn't outgrown it yet & there is a lot for toddlers to do. I don't think it matters what park you go to they will all be crowded.

I would vote for Sea World or the SD zoo. US will have a lot that neither of your kids can do, and Knotts for a 7-year-old puts on the older end for Camp Snoopy or (likely) too short for the bigger rides.

I like Legoland, but if you've been there you know it's expensive and your DS2 won't be able to do quite a few of the bigger rides.

Kids can do everything at the zoo and your DS2 can do almost everything except the 3 rides at Sea World. It might depend on whether you think your kids want to walk around looking at animals at the zoo or sit waiting for shows at SW.
