We are trying to figure out if we should go to Knotts for a day or Magic Mountain. Which do you all like?? Everyone in our family likes everything so coasters or not it doesnt matter.

Between the 2 I prefer Knott's, mostly because Magic Mountain gets such a bad crowd.

Well, Knott's has been known to get some bad crowds but not nearly as bad as Magic Mountain. If you're going to DL, I say avoid the drive and traffic and just stay in the area DL.

I personally perfer the Thrill coasters at Magic Mountian. But then it has been 8 years since I was at Knott's and only 4 since Magic Mountian. And I know Knott's has added since then.

I would say Knott's. It's close to DL and is exclusive to So. Cal, while there are Six Flags parks all over the country. Plus, MM is a very far drive, not fun while on vacation IMO.

I hope you have a great trip!!

I have always been a big fan of Magic Mountain. Drawback-> distance from DL

I like Knotts also..., but my first choice would be Magic Mtn.

I love Knott's Berry Farm. It is unique, although Cedar Faire has been adding more typical theme park attractions. But Ghost Town is a favorite and many of the rides are pretty good. Magic Mountain has a long list of thrill rides, but like others have said, the drive is very far from DLR and it can be horrible in traffic.

Also, the crowds at MM are much bigger than those at Knott's. Mostly because MM draws more locals from the L.A. area.

We were at Knott's this summer and weren't impressed. The best part of the entire very long day? Picking up chicken for supper on our way out of the park.

HUGE lineups (1 hour waiting in line) at 10 AM and it just got worse from there. A lot of "pay to play" things if you're sick of waiting in line-ups. It was not a good day. We're kind of glad we saw it, but really wished we would have signed up for an early bus back to Anaheim.

Another Knott's vote here. It's much, much closer to DL! We've never hit really bad lines there, even the day after Christmas. We love Ghostrider, the Ghost town & Mrs. Knott's Chicken dinner can NOT be beat! :p I always get a big boysenberry fix to when I'm there!!

I just miss the old Bear ride they used to have there before they put the dinosaur ride in. I LOVED that ride as a little kid! Even have a book from it! :p

We were in California this summer for the first time. We were really expecting Magic Mountain to be awful but I was so impressed with this park. The crowds were very manageable. The rides were fantastic and the park was very well maintained and landscaped.

I was very disappointed with Knotts. I had expected it to be on the same level as Cedar Point but it was very substandard. The rides were not good, there were way too many rude, pushy people and the food was awful. There was a lot of garbage and there was absolutely no landscaping.

I had expected to be thrilled with Knotts and disappointed with Magic Mountain and had exactly the oposite opinions.

I would go back to Magic Mountain anytime but I doubt that I will ever go back to Knotts, even with the addition of Silver Streak.

We spent two days at Magic Mountain and half a day at Knotts.

You must have been to Knott's on a bad day (at least food-wise) because I would rank Knott's as some of the best theme park food and Magic Mountain's as the absolute worst I've ever had.
