We are going to LA and Anaheim in September & are buying a Go LA pass which, amongst other attractions includes Knotts when we move down to Anaheim.

As we will have a spare day in Anaheim (thanks to no 6 day DLR hoppers) we wonder whether we should plan an additional day to Knotts (already going for one day) and save a day of our LA pass for this (planning a Monday, .having already visited the previous Thursday)

Would we have had enough with one day in Knotts? - it will be pretty quiet - mid week in September anyway. We may even just do a half day as we will just have had a hectic weekend in DLR.

Another reason for doing a second day - we wanted to try Mrs Knotts checken dinner and on the first planned day, the Halloween crowds will be arriving as we are leaving and thought the restaurant would be packed.

GO LA card also covers attractions in San Diego but not really an option as we won't have a car. We can handle public transport to Knotts from DLR area (CCI).

IMO I think one day at Knotts is enough. We just came back from our trip and we visited Knotts on Tue 7/16 and it was not too busy at all. We did most attreactions, not all but we left early and didn't get there until noon as we were really tired from the two prior days at DL & US. If you chose to do 2 days you could just take it slow like we did and do 1/2 the park on one day and 1/2 the park on the second day.

Honestly, Knotts is a half day park. Just get there right when the park opens and you should be done with the entire park by 3pm.

Absolutely this! My husband and I got there at opening and were eating a late lunch at the chicken place out front by 1:30 or so having done everything we wanted to inside. No need for two days!!!!!

That helps a lot - thanks

Do you happen to know if this holds true during the summer as well? I am looking at a weekday trip sometime in the next couple of weeks, taking my DS6 (who is not yet 48", so there are lots of things he can't ride).

Are wait times like DLR? I have no idea what it's like at KBF!

No the lines are not like DL at all... we went last July in a Tuesday & it wasn't bad at all. DL & US are way busier parks. This has been our second visit during the summer on a weekday in the past few years.

We recently went on a Saturday for the first time since I was a teen. Although one day was sufficient to get an overview and hit the highlights, we could've spend part of a second day there browsing through stores, "museums" and taking in the shows. We did not to get to do everything in our one day, but it was enough. Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies and the chicken dinner were favorites.

If you get there early you can go on all of the rides with no waits. You can spend the afternoon seeing shows and exploring the nooks and crannies in the park. If you are efficient in the morning, you should be able to see everything in less than a full day.

If you have older kids, or you enjoy rollercoasters, you will like Knotts. (Silver bullet/accelerator are my favorites) The restaurant upfront has always had a pretty long line when I was there so you might want to be prepared for a bit of a wait. The line moved pretty quick though and the food was fantastic. :thumbsup2

We went to the restaurant last year - it was way too much food.

Is sharing a meal allowed?
