Does anybody here like Knotts Berry Farm??? It seems less favorable when compared to Universal Studios...:Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

<font color=navy>My family likes it, especially at Christmas, and at Halloween when it becomes Knotts Scary Farm. :)

They have the best wooden roller coaster around.

:sunny: I love Knotts Berry Farm. It's smaller than DL, but it rates very high in our books. I can tell you that we love the rides, the smaller features, the nice shops, Snoopy Village for those under 4 .. it is hard to describe, but I would not go to that area without visiting Knotts Berry Farm .. and oh don't forget to eat some great chicken there and buy some jam too :-) :sunny:

First Disneyland, Then Knott's Berry Farm, followed by DCA

That's how I rate them.

No trip to Disneyland is complete without a visit to Knott's. For a one time family owned park that is now owned by a large corporation, this park still maintains it's charm and appeal.

Ghostrider is the best wooden roller coaster around.
Big Foot Rapids is an awesome white water ride.
Timber Mountain Log Ride is the best flume ride outside of "Splash Mountain" Which I believe was inspired by this one.
Mystery Lodge is a really cool show.
Calico Mine Ride is a classic.
The list goes on and on. But...

Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant cannot be missed. Even if you don't go to the park, you have to visit this restaurant and have the best chicken dinner (or lunch) that you will ever experience.

We prefer Knott's over Universal Hollywood hands down! The rides are much more fun and it seems to have a lot more to do than sit through shows and such. Maybe we just didnt "get" Universal Hollywood but our kids got bored and we left after about 3 hours! We spent from opening to closing at Knotts and they didnt want to leave!!!

This same question was asked about a month ago with the exact opposite replys!! Everyone said they prefered Universal and that KBF was ran down and dirty. Go figure!!!

We love it. We went last July and it was spotless.
There are often big discounts for Knotts, check with a grocery store called Ralphs. Often they sell discount tickets if you have a Ralphs card, which is free and you can sign up on the spot. Also sometimes there is a discount on soda cans. AAA has a discount, and I think the local Entertainment book too.
You must try the Berry punch, try it early- you will want more!
I also love the funnel cakes.

I think families with younger kids may like this park more (Camp Snoopy is great), but I think it has a ton to offer at any age. Ours are 6, 9, and 17 and all three consider it a must.

LOL, DW Mouser i KNOW, EVERY SINGLE PERSON preferred Universal to Knotts!!! Now EVERYONE Preferes Knotts!!!!:Pinkbounc

We actually canceled our tickets to KBF because of those earlier posts!! Now I'm thinking 6 days will be way too much for DL&CA so I'm leaning toward US. If we had a car I'd just do a beach one day. When you've never been before, it's hard to know what to do!

Recommendations for KBF vs US depend a bit on your party. I think I remember some recommendations for US over KBF a while back for a party that included some elderly folks who were more interested in shows and were not at all interested in roller coasters. My DS liked most of the thrill rides at KBF better than I did (I'm spoiled by Disney's magic), but I concur with the reviews of GhostRider. This wooden roller coaster alone is worth the price of admission!

Very much so AnNaNiCole! I think we made the right choice though as there are only 2 in our party that are coaster nuts! The 5 year old would of been board. We are just going to chill out at DLH and swim and do the crowded parks at leisure and not get stressed out like we do at WDW. We have my daughter-in-laws parents coming now too so we need some time to visit and get to know them. This way we can afford to eat at some of the set down dining and charactrer meals.
Did I see you over in the teen boards?
