Just in case anyone missed the non-existant advertising that CBS is doing, there is a Knots Landing reunion on tonight on CBS at 9 eastern. Hopefully there are a few fans out there that may want to tune in and catch up with the people from Seaview Circle!

Thanks! I've heard nothing of this. It will be interesting to see what's new. Is it an actual show or just visiting with the actors?

Thank for the info!! I had no idea and was a huge Knots Landing fan. My cousin and I had Knots Landing nights when we would watch it together but could only talk during the commercials.

I actually liked this show. I don't know why though, I detest the others, then and now.

I really enjoyed the interaction between Greg and Paige, and I also liked most of the story lines with Gary.

From what I understand, they have recreated some of the sets. Some of it was filmed in the actual cul-de-sac (a real life cul-de-sac) in Southern California. The reunion will feature a number of the actors who played the most popular characters, including Joan Van Ark, Michelle Lee, Nicollette Sheridan, Ted Shackelford and Donna Mills. They are going to talk about the show and watch old clips. It isn't a new 'show' per se. It is supposedly set up similar to the recent Dallas Reunion which was also produced by Henry Winkler.

Here is a link to the CBS webpage. Makes me mad they didn't advertise this more...

Yeah. I just happened to catch a blurb of it in People magazine. I watch two major shows on CBS and didn't see a thing about it there. Of course, I skip the commercials. ;)

I loved this show, I especially remember when Valene got her twins back, I remember crying! I think the show was on for something like 13 years and I only remember missing it twice to give birth to my kids. I always wanted Gary and Valene to get back together, luckily on the last show they did.

I've already set my VCR but still intend to watch it. I rarely missed an episode.

I read that the actors all showed up "in character" and just started reminiscing etc., and the cameras were rolling...see where things went. So it sounds more like a "remember when...." type special. I will probably still watch it, but wish it was a story! I was a Sumner fan...he cracked me up how blase' he was.

Yes, you are right, from what I have read it is a "remember when" show. I watched Knots from it's very first episode to the end. Did the same with Dallas too. I miss those shows, they were good entertaining television.

well, 5 minutes in, I feel old - seeing how the actors/actresses have aged.

I watched part of it back then, and watched part of it tonight.

Well, I watched the special tonight and got teary eyed about 5 times! I just remember loving that show so much. Its the only show that I ever watched every week and tried not to miss any. The characters and storylines were so great, you never knew what was going to happen next.I remember when they killed off Ciji, i was shocked. It was nice to see them all together again.

I thought it was kind of hokey, but I watched it until the end b/c I loved Knots Landing. I thought it felt VERY SCRIPTED, though I definitely don't believe they were just reminiscing. I think the show worked because virtually all the major characters participated.

I had forgotten just how good Donna Mills was at being Abby and how beautiful Nicolette Sheridan used to be. Love the croquet scene! It was fun to see Ava Gardner, too. I liked the scenes of people who started on Knots -- had no idea Halle Berry, Billy Bob Thornton or Gary Sinese had ever been on the show.

All the way through the show they kept showing a "teaser" of someone coming in and shocking them all. Who was it? I gave up and went to bed about 3/4 of the way into it.
Thanks!

I missed the 1st 20 minutes, was Nicolette Sheridan on.

I thought the teaser person was Alec Baldwin. They kept saying a major actor. Glad it was Julie Harris. I think they only showed one clip of Alec and that was with CeeGee and her proposing to him. I heard he was a mean person on the show and no one could get along with him.

Abby-Donna Mills looked the best. Joan Van Ark-Val was a close 2nd. These women all have to be in their late 50's, early 60's.

They just barely mentioned Laura. Wasnt she considered a major character?
