Knitting Addiction

I just started to knit about a month ago and I am so addicted!!!

Anybody else?

I am still a somewhat beginner but so far I have made a purse, poncho, and a couple of scarves. What have you made?

I knit in the past, but I prefer to crochet. It seems to go much faster, and only one hook/needle. I've made afghans, hats, slippers...i'd like to make a scarf, but I'm still working on an afghan....

I just started a month or so ago, too! I never thought I would get so excited about shopping for yarn, but now I can't stop!

My favorite so far is the thick chenile yarn, because it's beautiful, but makes things go really quick! That's what I used for this one that I just finished a few days ago (my 2nd project ever!)

Now I'm working on a scarf with that fun eyelash yarn, as well as knitting a purse. I never knew it was so addicting!

WDW PolyPrincess-- your scarf is beautiful! I made my mother one with the Tigereye color chenille and used black fun fur with it. It turned out really well.

You did all that in a month? Wow! I'm impressed. I've knit on and off since I was a child...my great-grandmother taught me. But I've never done more than a couple of scarves, a pair of mittens, a bunch of pieces for a project I never finished (was supposed to be a patch pieced baby blanket) and I'm currently working on a bag.

I also have done some crochet and made my baby a hat this fall.

Knitting is slow going for me...but then again I have 3 kids. One of them is 11mo and likes to steal my yarn and tangle it! LOL

I'm really excited about all the things I could make if I had the chance to knit more!

I am new to crocheting and on Saturday I am going to a knitting class.. It is so fun.. I have made about 6 scarves already using wool, eyelash and ribbon yarn. It is amazing to see how the differnt yarns turn out. A great place in Williamsburg Virginia, KNITTING SISTERS.com has fantastic yarns and so pleasent people that work there.. if you get a chance try it out. The classes a great too.

DANGER! watch out or you will become a freak like me. Been knitting since I taught myself at age six. I own enough yarn for three lifetimes (I bought out 2 yarn stores when they closed out, plus tons on ebay)

Have over 100 hats at home that I will sell 'some day.' Always have 20+ projects on the go.
