kmart layaway

Does any one know if the kmart layaway is only available for the christmas season? I would like to put a PS3 on layaway and slowly pay it off but i dont want to do this until after I do all my christmas shopping which would put it into pick up in Jan.

Kmart layaway is all year round.

I don't know if there any restrictions on electronics.

Holiday items (decorations) have to be out by December 3rd though. That is the only restriction I'm aware off. I just took something out yesterday & did not see anything on my receipt about any other merchandise restrictions.

I love they still have lay a way. The only thing i have in lay a way right now is DD12's sewing machine that I will be getting out before XMAS. I know Toys R US has started LAW for the video game systems, but not sure if that is just for the holiday or what.

Layaway is year round and is a great idea. We picked up ours about 2 weeks ago and put video games on ther like the DJ Hero game. Ours was 8 weeks but you can pay it off sooner if you want. Our payments were every two weeks.

Kmart LW- from what I was told is that there is $5 deposit and it is for 10 weeks. You make payments every two weeks. We asked about putting an xbox and was told no. So I would call and check.

Toys r Us.... the LW there is has tons of restrictions. Was told that someone came with a cart full of stuff and only one item qualified for LW. Usually only big ticket items.

They are open year round I do all our big shopping at Kmart . For a small fee and biweekly payment over 8 weeks . I don't understand why Walmart stopped even if they would just have it Sept till Christmas. They are giving a lot of money to Kmart.
