Hi all
I hope its ok to post here... Myself and OH are tying the knot in less then two weeks and are off on honeymoon then, including a visit to DLP.
Thought I'd get the PTR underway if no one minds the inclusion of Amsterdam and Naples too?

So here it is:::

Story
Myself and Shane met and clicked 8 years to the date we are marrying... at a car rally in Kilarney which is in County Kerry. It seems a bit of a rite of passage back then for our age group to go away for the May bank holiday weekend to the rally in a big gang and myself and a big group of friends from beauty school set off for the weekend. As I was just shy of turning 18 I couldn't get into the pub where my gang were and just happened upon Quigs who I knew through my bestie. He went to college with her brother and randomly is in the background of loads of night out photos of mine from before we knew eachother!
He snuck me into the pub as his girlfriend and snuck a kiss and the rest is history!! We have two likkle ones and it seemed like the time was right to tie the knot so on Christmas morning 2010 he asked for my hand! And now here we are, only 13 days from being married!

Cast
Me: Kizzabel: 25 almost 26, DLP nut! Love Alice and Aurora's fairy godmothers
OH: Quigs: 28, not a DLP nut :( but being converted. Likes Stitch!

This is us! And the far left is not my OH's hair but a Halloween wig! Scary! And the middle pic and face of disgust is due to his love of having to attend functions! He needs to smile more!

The Plan
So this is our plan

Thursday 3/1/12: Off to Dublin after getting the kids settled with their respective doting aunts! Staying at the Premier Inn for an early flight out.
Friday 4/1/12: Flying to Amsterdam in the morning to spend 3 full days soaking us the craziness. Its my 1st visit and OH's 2nd! We have tickets for the Anne Frank Huis, Madame Tussauds and also were thinking of a canal cruise.
Monday 7/1/12: Leaving at 6am on Thalys to Paris! Arriving at 9am and spending until evening looking around, taking the Bateau Mouche and soaking up the atmosphere before taking the RER to DLP :yay::yay::yay: where we stay at HNY and may have dinner in the Manhattan, followed by Dreams and taking full advantage of late opening!
Tuesday 8/1/12: Full day in the park to include lunch at Walts, dinner we are open to suggestions for?? And then late that night we transfer to the Holiday Inn Orly.
Wednesday 9/1/12: We fly from Orly to Naples to not do very much for a few days! This is the relaxing part and I cannot wait to eat some proper Neopolitan pizza! We do plan on going to Pompeii and may go down the Amalfi coast a little but we really just want to chill out!
Sunday 13/1/12: We fly home :(

The only down side of all this will be missing our two kids who are staying with family but we have an extra suitcase to fill with presents for them :rotfl:

]I do hope its ok to post here and I am going to write up the last day of my last TR this weekend, cant find my notebook but the house is getting a big clean in prep for the wedding :cool1:

Congratulations on your wedding princess: I bet everything is a bit manic trying to get organised.

Your plans sound fantastic :thumbsup2

We'll be at HNY from the Sunday - Wednesday, so maybe see you there :wave2:

It all sounds fab!

I hope that you have a lovely Wedding and Honeymoon :bride:

All the best wishes :goodvibes

Sounds fantastic  I love that you've managed to incorporate DLP into your honeymoon.

Thanks everyone!
Not so manic here! Im a bit nervous but I'm pretty laid back. We have had a few set backs but theres not much more we can plan or organise so its just a matter of waiting for the big day!

I had to get to DLP Elaine! It was only meant to be a one day visit but I snuck in a night at HNY on the cheap so I am an extremely happy bridezilla!
Collecting my dress and getting the boarding cards printed tomorrow and then its just a matter of logistics for wedding bits and bobs and packing the suitcase..... Again!

Hey all!
So I've made some reservations!

Monday dinner is booked for King Luds to see if the Roast Chicken is as lush as it looks! Do you think 7pm is ok for making it in time for Dreams?

Tuesday lunchtime is a rosemantic lunch in Walts! Cheesecake :lovestruc
Tuesday dinner is in the Manhattan so very swanky :) we then leave afterwards and go to Orly for the night.

Cannot wait to see Dreams in the flesh, had a quick peek at DLRPtoday and had to tear myself away!

Sounds like a fantastic plan for a Honeymoon!!! :cloud9:

I also squeezed in a day trip to DLP on our honeymoon (12 years ago now mind!) before DH was a DLP convert! It would be rude not to :-)

I hope all goes well for the big day and you don't miss your little ones too much

Hope we will get photos of the pizzas & Amalfi Coast as well as DLP?!!

Have a FAB honeymoon hun! :cheer2:

Thanks Jenny!
I've been salivating over pizza reviews/recommendations for the last week!! Extra "roomy" jeans are packed for the carb fest :thumbsup2
Just after looking at the Naples lonely planet and I think a day trip to see Capri's Blue Grotto or to chill out on Procida is in order. We arent staying in the best area in Naples but its ideally located in the centre, near the train station and a nicer pizzaria then Da Michele (of Eat Pray Love fame) is just down the street, it is called Da Donato, plus the hotel is unbelievably gorgeous looking.

Amsterdam will be less of a gastronomic adventure (raw herring anyone?) but more cultural. Looking forward to seeing Anne Frank's former home and taking a wander down the red light district to see the aaaaam sights?! My mam said it is hilarious!

Wedding side is totally organised now! Suits are collected, just have to pay the band and that really is all! I'm not counting making the flowers as it can't be classed as work.. it involves a bottle of wine and a natter with my sister. Happy days!

I do have a very anxious groom on my hands though.. He is worried about the speech (and I'm smug in the knowledge that I don't have to say a thing!)

I too had a very anxious groom before the wedding, the speech was his big worry too. He'll be fine - as long as he mentions his beautiful wife he's bound to get a good reception!! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful honeymoon. Looking forward to hearing all about it. :goodvibes

Hi all,
due to a family bereavement I wont be doing a TR. I will include some pics on this thread and some info on the guided tour of the DLP but my brother in laws death has taken alot out of DH and I and I wouldn't feel right going over all the details of our happy time when we have had such a sad loss and because DHs brother was such a huge part of our life and wedding.

Thanks
Kiz
xx

So sorry to hear about your Brother in Law, totally understandable about the TR xx

Oh Kiz  all my thoughts go out to you and yours at this time.

Take care of yourself xxxx
