YES!
They actually even have a kite decorating activity onboard for families the day before CC. They are nice diamond shaped fabric kites that the children can decorate with markers. I thought they would not be as nice as they were, but you know the Mouse....everything's the Good Stuff!
Absolutely! In fact on a day prior to CC there is "family kite making". DD & I went to Parrot Cay that morning, and were given a kite (no charge) that we could decorate, and put together. We were told that we could fly our kites on Castaway Cay(sandy beach area right before the family beach). Fortunately, a CM was there to help this uncoordinated Daddy get his daughter's kite up in air There were several families flying kites, and there were smiles everywhere!
The kites that they had to decorate were very nice nylon diamond kites with long tails and streamers. We had no time to fly kites with the other activities at CC but I'm sure it would be fun.
I just wanted to post a warning about the Kite eating Palm trees on CC.
We went last year in January and it was quite a windy day (they cancelled all the CC water excursions because of choppy water and we were worried we'd not be able to dock, but we made it). We didn't think we were terribly close to the trees, but somehow my DD5's brand new Jolly Roger kite (purchased days before at the Pirate Museum in Nassau) was stuck with no hope of untangling. It was still flying as the Magic pulled out of port that afternoon.
