If you're referring to the blue kite being down that happening wasn't a problem. It's a Baloo kite they flew around for awhile and then "landed" the kite down in that empty seating area. It was a little strange seeing it down in that area, and I don't know of that's going to be the permanent spot, but it looked like it was out there on purpose.

I thought it was kinda cute but shorter than I expected. Think of it as a short little sit down break (it's basically two songs from Jungle Book and that's it) rather than comparing it to something like a nighttime fireworks show. That will probably temper expectations. Will probably be a one and done for many though.

It wasn't horrible, but I was definitely hoping for more. At best it looks like a one and done.
Maybe this is an early version and it will be improved.

Thanks for the link, I had not yet seen the whole thing. Still not overly fond of the show. Was hoping for the 50th there would be something exciting but I don't know if this is better than rivers of light. Sigh, just hoping for more Disney magic

While not a big fan of EPCOT Forever, I thought the kites they had there were amazing. I was hoping for something at least close if not even better. Nothing even close to those kites.

Watching the video, it looked like the warm up to a real show. If I was passing by and could walk right in, I might go in to sit for a few mins, but not trek half way around the park for it.

So they’re just going to land and deflate Balloo(n) in front of everyone and in middle of the show?

This could have been so much better with a little more thought, creativity and care.

I don't see this staying around for long, I didn't mind river of lights but it needed something more... like a water screen that wasn't so blurry it was hard to make out what was happening on it. AK doesn't really lend itself to a night time show with the all the animal experiences basically over after dark. I think they could be on to something here but it needs some help.

I was at the preview today. They were inviting everyone at AK today to watch. I thought it was hilarious that Baloo ended up in the bleachers and King Louie ended up on his back in the water. There was another balloon of a seagull? That was not used today.

As weird as it may sound, this was the thing I was most excited about for the 50th anniversary. The shows and entertainment have always been one of my favorite things about the parks. I thought it would be a cute little show that would add on another option of something to do at AK.

I just watched the video and unfortunately found it really disappointing. It just looks so low effort and cheap to me. The cast members were great trying to add the energy but to me this show was very poorly done. Maybe it will vamp up and change as time goes on? Maybe I'm mis-remembering but weren't they hype-ing up a Zazu kite and other character kites for this? I must be missing something because this cannot be the final product. I also don't understand how you can have the amazing puppetry from Lion King on broadway and the Finding Nemo musical and even the old Hunchback show from MGM years ago and this is what they came up with/chose to put out there.
