We're heading down next week to stay in a 1BR unit for the first time. I'm sure that this has been covered before, but what kitchen items are included in each unit? Do we need to bring plates, silverwear, glasses, serving spoons, pots, pans...? If someone has a list of the basic supplies that Disney provides, we'd be appreciative. We're bringing whatever they don't supply to load up our Owner's Locker for the first time! :goodvibes

I would recommend bringing ziploc bags, coffee & filters, condiments if you'll be cooking, extra laundry soap & fabric softener sheets. Other than that you should be all set :goodvibes

Everything mentioned in the above is indeed there!
They even through in dish washing and liquid soap!
oops, and a sponge...go figure!

:surfweb: Checked the internet for food stores
around WDW. We used Winn Dixie...spent around $130
for 4 people for 6 days. If your flying down be careful...
make sure if you bring any liquids or such that you NOT
bring it on board with you, pack it up. Still, coffee, condiments
are fairly cheap at Winn Dixie...try shopping there...
you can either drive yourself(rental)or take a taxi.
The best part of staying in a 1 or 2 bdrm...washer/dryer!!!

Good luck and have a great trip!:cool1:

We found the kitchen to be very well stocked...almost like home, but that's the point isn't it!! I agree with ChellieinNC - We always bring some ziploc bags, foil, and sometime we bring some of the disposable gladware.

Ugh! How many times have we forgotten to bring the coffee filters!!! We do not have an Owner's Locker (yet) but we do have a storage crate at home that holds all of the essentials for our Disney trips. Finally I added one of those gold mesh reusable coffee filters to pack in my suitcase! Ziplock bags are a must for every vacation!!

Will we need extra dish soap or dishwasher detergent for a 5 night 1 bedroom stay and a 5 night 2 bedroom stay??

Thanks for posting this. We always stay in studios, but next week we will be in 2 bedroom and I am looking forward to the experience.

I am going to bring my tupperware that folds flat to store things in, and I will pick up some plastic bags.

Thanks for the info!

DJ
(I think you will probably need more soap, I think they just leave sample sizes, but I could be wrong...I packed a box of dishwasher soap to bring with us).

we just bought some coffee packs that are similar to what is provided in the rooms. It sure beats bringing coffee and separate filters. (It's Maxwell House. But, it's better then Nescafe!) We're also bringing extra sweetener packets too. we also bring cin/sugar mix and strawberry milk powder/liquid for the kids.

we've gone crazy before buying groceries. Sadly, most of the leftovers get thrown away. No real savings there for us vs. just eating out.
