Kitchen Sink Sundae

We were thinking about walking over to Beaches and Cream from Epcot one day for the Kitchen Sink Sundae. I've read that this restaurant is frequently packed. Can anyone suggest a time of day when it might be "not quite so busy" ??? I believe it's open from 11a.m. to 11 p.m.?? Thanks for any input!

Beaches & Cream doesn't have much seating so that makes scoring a table even tougher. There are seats at the counter but if you're dining as a family that may not be an option, particularly if you're planning to share a Kitchen Sink.

We did exactly as you're planning to do - walking over the Beach & Cream from Epcot. We arrived around 2 p.m. and had a 45 minute wait for a table. But in the end we really enjoyed it. When they brought out the Kitchen Sink, the look on our son's face was priceless.

I would love to surprise my daughter with that. Do you just say, "I want a Kitchen sink" or are there options, such as topping choices and ice cream choices? She's 18, so a little tough to surprise her with it if there are options.

Most importantly we are also dealing with a nut allergy. Is that a problem?

We did make a special request on ours to leave out the mint chip ice cream (they just replaced it with more scoops of vanilla).

A nut allergy is definitely something to alert them to up front. The bottom of the bowl is smeared with peanut butter and it is topped with nuts.

I think shooting for an off time would be best. Either eat early or late - maybe shoot for 4:00 in the afternoon?

Of course, you will have others doing the same thing for an afternoon snack.

Regardless, it will be worth it.

They basically put everything in there, unless you request something to be taken off.
