I know that they serve the kitchen sink at the Beach Club, but what is the name of the resturaunt? Do I have to make reservations? We would really like to try one this year...hopefully we get the chance. Does anyone know the price of it also?

Just one more question, it is carb free right? :rotfl:

Beaches and Cream.
No reservations are taken, it's first come first served!

This will be my reward if I go on the ToT w/ my DH. I have always wanted to try the Kitchen Sink ever since I saw Samantha Brown do the Yacht and Beach Club special. I hope I can do it!

Someone MUST post a photo. There is a GREAT photo of it in the Dream book they give you when you do the DVC Open House.

Think of it as a HUGE ice cream sundae for 6-7 people with all kinds of gooey toppings! It is served in a silver "kitchen sink" bowl.

We had one for the first time 2 days ago. :thumbsup2 I was dissapointed we didin't eat as much as i thought we could. it was yummy! :goodvibes

If you can ever catch the show on the Travel Channel - they actually show you want goes into it. It's obscene!

Also, I think I saw something on here about a clip of them making it being on You Tube.

It is at Beaches & Cream, and sadly they don't take ADRs. We tried twice to stop for it on our last trip and never did get to try it, because twice we were told we'd have a 20-30 minute wait for a table and gave up an hour later because we had other things to get to.

We're going to try again in January. Hopefully the demand for ice cream is lower during the cooler months than it is in the August heat.

OMG, I think I am getting a stomach ache just looking at it. I know that my DH, DGD and DGS would love it. I will have to show that to them. OMG:rotfl:

Did you all know that there is a kitchensink challenge? If one person can eat an entire kitchensink in 1 hour or less then it is free. We were told the record is 9 minutes :scared1: Since my dh loves ice cream and we had shared a kitchensink on a previous trip, DH decided to give the challenge a try during our July trip. When they bring it out they flash the lights and get everyone's attention then they deliver it to the table. In our case they explained that he was attempting the challenge.

He did eat it all and in only 39 minutes, 39 seconds :rotfl: He also said that the last 1/4 went down really hard. I had a stomache ache just watching him. When he finished he was met with rousing applause.

The challenge is not for the week of stomache. The last 1/4 was pretty hard to swallow and keep down:) After I did it I said it would be my only time. It's been a few weeks and I'm thinking I wiil do it again the next trip:thumbsup2
