I was just checking my email and saw one from costco. I clicked it to see the sales and lo and behold there is a Kirstie Kelly wedding dress!! Apparently Kirstie Kelly and her Disney dress collection are coming to a California Costco store from October 22-28. It's for Costco members only but I guess if you live in the area, and are a member (or really want a KK dress) they are supposed to be on sale for at least 40% for dresses and veils.

further proof that Costco is the greatest place in the world...you really never know what you might find there!

They're also doing a trunk show sale open to the general public at around the same time.

When I visited the Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings booth at D23 Expo, they were handing out cards with info on a sort of trunk sale of Kirstie Kelly gowns, "with savings starting at 40%"... it said nothing about needing a Costco membership to attend.

The details:

October 22-25

Costco Wholesale - West Lake Village
5700 Lindero Canyon Road
Westlake Village, CA 91362

Hmm.. :confused3 That's weird. The Costco flyer says for Costco Members only. They usually only allow members into the store and to purchase products. I know they often have traveling vendors but I've never seen or heard of bridal trunk shows so I have no idea what they'll do.

You do have to have a membership if you want to buy anything from the collection, as it turns out, but theoretically you could immediately return the membership after you've made your purchase. Little known fact about Costco: if you buy a membership, you have a year to return it for a full refund if you're dissatisfied for any reason. So you could use it for 363 days and then return it and get your money back without having to pay any penalty.

What I'm wondering about is whether or not you'll be able to return the dresses...my husband used to work for Costco in the returns department and they never questioned anybody who wanted to return anything, even if they were just returning it because their kids had outgrown the clothes they had bought them, etc. A lot of people abuse the return policy, but Costco wants to make sure people are satisfied so they keep buying memberships. I wonder if anyone is going to try to buy a KK dress, wear it at their wedding, and then return it?!?

Here's the online flier if anyone missed it:
