I am not much of a meatball fan, but when I put the Kirklands brand in the crockpot and cook a long time...6 hours, they change in a way that makes me LOVE them!
I had to make a pot for a potluck at church and did the grape jelly/chili sauce ones. I had never made meatballs other than for spaghetti before. I put half the Kirklands bag in my 6 qt pot, with 1.5 cups of grape jelly, two jars of chili sauce and half a can of crushed pineapple, let cook on low for 6 hours and YUM!!
ETA: After just over 3 hours of cooking, these meatballs were done and still tasted like the frozen meatball...which I don't care for. I had no choice but to let them go a couple more hours though and the extra cooking changed them and made them so tender and they lost that taste IMO and really took on the sweet and sour sauce taste.
