Hi there! My wife inherited this set when her Mother passed away last year. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information online about it so I thought I would ask here.
What I have been able to learn is that this set was produced in 1973 and 1974 by S. Kirk & Son. It's a set of 12 coins (medals) with a character on the front and a bio on the back. The medals are made of 2.3 ounces of .999 fine silver.
A set sold on ebay in July for just over $1,000. It was very exciting to find that out!
Each medal is engraved on the edge with the year, number 1 - 12 and the number of the set. This set is # 017.
