Kingdom Stroller rental Review - Awesome

Let me start by saying that I am one of those people who will rarely give out a 5 start review on anything but I must say that I was very impressed with Kingdom Stroller Rental. My 5 year old broke her arm 2 days before our vacation and after much discussion with doctors, we headed down for our vacation anyway with her arm in a cast. Having been out of the "stroller world" for awhile, we took an umbrella stroller with us for her.

After 2 hours at that "other" park, it was apparent that our umbrella stroller was not going to cut it - she needed a bigger stroller. I headed back to the hotel at 4:30, did some research and had a quick online chat with the guy at Kingdom Strollers.

Well, the next morning when we checked in our Disney hotel at 9AM, Kingdom strollers had delivered my stroller to our hotel with no problem - it was sitting there waiting for us. The stroller was sturdy, clean and had very good directions attached on how to fold it up, recline the seat, etc. It also came with a free rain shield and a cooler pack to put water bottles in for the park. I could not have asked for a better stroller for her.

I returned the stroller to the front desk on check out day and went on my way. Easy.

Only caution I would give would be that since we had to get a bigger stroller since I had a 5 year old with an arm cast (we got the City Elite) it might be hard to fold up on the bus transportation. We had a rental car which we used so it wasn't a problem for us. They do have smaller ones though which I saw all through the park.

Loved the stroller, loved the service, price was good. I give high marks for this small business. I never saw the guy that runs the business but was impressed with the service, the product and the communication.

That's so great to hear! This will be our first trip with a stroller and decided to go with KS. Looking forward to having DD experience Disney for the first time!

I also loved kingdom strollers. I used them last month and everything was great. I even changed my dates and hotels with no problems. The stroller looked brand new. The price including the rain cover, cooler and cup holder attachment was the lowest I found. My child was very upset that she didnt get to take the stroller homw with her. I will use them again next time.

Thanks for the review...been debating who to use, or if I should lug my own. Have a 2 yo and 4 yo, and would need a double. If I bring my own, it would help in the airports, but what a pain to bring just for that...

We used Kingdom Strollers for our mid-October trip and they were wonderful! We also had the City Elite, and it was in great condition. I'm planning on using them again next year

Has anyone ever rented a crib from these guys? $65 for a week with free delivery is making me consider it...

And do people generally add the $25 insurance? I can see it with a stroller, but i can't really see a crib going missing from our resort...

We rented a crib. Crib was ok- will warn you that the mattress isn't that great, but I don't think it can be better and fit in the folded up crib.

Re: Insurance - I did end up taking the insurance option for $25 for our stroller. Usually I would not spring for the extra insurance but the way they move the strollers around in the parks when they rearrange things and the cost of replacing the stroller being around $350, I thought I would rather be safe than sorry. With my luck, I would be the one with the stolen stroller.
Had no problem, though.

I agree that I don't think I would do it on a crib - only reason I took it for the stroller was for the "move around" factor.

We rented a stroller and crib in August. Both were great. Mattress is hard, but needs to be expected. We got a 15% discount for renting both at the same time. Very easy and Matt was great!

I was looking at KS too! I haven't decided what to get though. We are staying at POR, and will be using the bus and boat to get to a fro from the parks, etc. I was going to get a double stroller since my 7.5 yr old might be pooped by the end of the day. Thankfully he's a skinny minnie (lol) and I think he'd fit.

But I am worried about using the transportation and the double stroller. Any advice? I was thinking the City Elite double or the Bob double (which I had and sold, and loved).

I think my main problem with using the citi elite on the bus would have been the way that it folds up. I am one of those unorganized people that just tends to shove everything in the basket (jackets, etc) and when folding up the stroller to quickly get on a bus or monorail, things tends to fall out all over the place.

If you are more organized than me (most people are) and have the ability to take things out of the bottom basket in a more orderly manner, the bus transport would probably be easier (even with a double)

Regarding the stroller on buses - we took our BJ City Mini Double last month. It folds up very easy & very "flat". I have a "Mommy hook" on the handle which we used to carry our back pack. As we approached the line for the buses we would have to take stuff out of the pockets behind the seats but anything in the basket underneath could stay in there without impeding folding the stroller or falling out.
I did see others with the Bob and jogging type strollers and I just have to say that they had a much harder time keeping those strollers "flat" enough to not take up a lot of room in the bus aisles.

I wonder if going with a single and getting the boogie board thing on the back for big brother... Just in case. I just wonder how much of a pain that will be. Any thoughts?

We have a 7 year old and she would have loved the boogie board thing on the back of the stroller at the end of the day. If that is an option for the stroller, I would go for it.

Gilder boards are not removed when folding the stroller (for bus/monorail). They fold up when not in use by the child and have clips to keep them secured to the stroller. There are no extra steps involved. If you had it up, then just fold stroller and you are done. If it was down, the fold up the board, clip it and then fold stroller. You can see how its done on Youtube if you want a visual.

We used them for our September trip & it was painless...and cheap! We picked up at WL at 8am the morning after we checked in & dropped off at Hard Rock at 9pm the night before we checked out, with rain cover & cooler it was still $20 cheaper than anyone else. Matt even accommodated our request for a crimson & gray stroller to match the University of Alabama flags we stuck on it. (It was an easy way to find our stroller and DH was adamant we not get a UT orange stroller, haha!)
