Has anyone done the Kingdom Keepers Quest self-guided tour, either the one offered through Disney Youth Programs or the one that is in the Birnbaum guide?

My daughter has really enjoyed the Kingdom Keepers books and I wondered if the Quest was worth the time.

I just looked it up on the Disney YES site. It looks like you have to have a group to do this. You can't register as an individual. Too bad! My ds12 would love to do this!

You can informally do the one found at the back of the birnbaum guide as well without registering...some friends and I plan have the guide book and plan to do it this spring...im loving these books....just starting on the 4th book right now

My DD did the one in the back of the Birnbaum book. I got it specifically because she is such a big fan of the books. It was okay, but a lot of it was just flipping thru the book looking for clues. So you had to carry the book around with you all day rather than just the pages from the Quest. The worst thing was that at the end it said to go to Guest Relations for your award and Guest Relations had no idea what we were talking about. Maybe since the book had just come out, I don't know. They tried to cover and gave us a couple fastpasses but it was obvious they had no idea.

Thanks for the info. Do you think it would help to read the Birnbaum book prior to the trip? We aren't planning to go until at least 2014.

If you mean as far as doing the Quest is concerned, No, I actually hid the Birnbaum book from her til we got there. Some of the clues were things like "turn to page 104, find the 3rd word on the 10th line", things like that, so she just would have done parts of it at home. If you mean as a guide book, it is supposed to be a good one, but we are devout fans of the Unofficial Guide so I only bought it for the Quest.

I didn't even know there was such thing!

My DD just finished book 2 and this sounds right up her alley.

I thinK I will take a look at the Birnbaum and see if its something she would enjoy.

I get such great ideas from this board...never ceases to amaze me.

I may have to check into this too. Both DD and my niece have read the first two books. This might be something fun the three of us could do on our girls trip next week. I'll have to run to B&N over the weekend and see if they have the guide.

Make sure you buy the Birnbaum guide that has some sort of notation that is has the exclusive Kingdom Keepers Quest in it.
