Kingdom Hospital . . .Did Anyone Watch?

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get into the story line . . . .after watching last night I was bewildered . . .The ardvark/anteater thing was kinda weird . . .I'm just not getting it??

Weird doesn't even begin to describe it. I'm not sure either that I will stay with this one. I didn't really get it either but then it's Stephen King. His mind works way out there. After watching last night, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not but will stay with it at least through the next one to see if it picks up but very strange indeed.

I was really excited about this series, then thoroughly disappointed when I started watching it last night. I only watched about half, got sleepy and went to bed. I didn't think it was that great, especially the ant-eater thing, too weird.

But I'm like that with King's books too, some of them I've absolutely loved, others I just couldn't "get into" so didn't finish.

I doubt I'll watch the show next week.

I watched. As a Direct-TV subscriber, I very seldom watch local channels or shows that would have this many commercials.
Ten minutes of show....five minutes of commercial! I think it would have held my interest better without so many interruptions.

That said....I have always like Andrew McCarthy so I'm hoping the show gets better and I'll try it again next week.

Really wanted to like this. I love Stephen King and definitely am into "off beat" and wierd shows (ala Twin Peaks). But this one just didn't reach out and grab me. I'll give it another try, but it's on late for me, so I don't know if this will become a "regular" show for me or not.

I totally agree. I was so excited to watch this and was totally disappointed. I wanted it to be more creepy and scarier, rather than so bewildering. I know King is weird, but this was just weird "huh?" rather than weird creepy and cool. I may try one more week to see if it gets better, but based on last night, I will not watch all 13 weeks. I also agree, there were WAY too many commericals, jeez, it was half commercials, very irritating.

I agree with what everyone else has said....WEIRD....not creepy weird but almost goofy weird. I will give it another week though, just to see what happens and if it grabs my attention more and makes more sense.....so we shall see.

Through the whole thing, I just kept thinking how they could have squished it into an hour or less, instead of dragging it out for so long. I also agree there were way too many commercials, and that guy who did the announcing put me off from the first sentence. I know he was trying to spooky or mystic, but it was just annoying. You know what gave me the biggest case creeps was waiting for the guy in the van to hit the runner. Wasn't that what happened to Stephen King? (I know he wasn't running, but the dog distracted the driver that hit him, must have been creepy to write about.) I'll try it one more week just because Andrew McCarthy was in it. When did he get so cute??

LOL, I too was more interested in Andrew McCarthy than the show itself. I told dh it was just nice to see him in something again. I have always thought he was cute, but he really aged well!!!

Oh, yes. The first week, the next week, and every week thereafter. The acting is reasonably good. One of the characters shares my first name, which I get a kick out of. And most of all, it is not another version of "Law and Order" or "CSI." It is something different. Good. bad, or indifferent, television needs to do something different now and then, instead of doing a clone of whatever is popular that week.
