Kingdom Hearts PS2 Game

Has anyone played this video game yet?

I don't know if there are many DISers who like video games, but this one involves Disney characters along with anime characters and is a role playing game I think.

I was going to rent it first, but wanted to get some feedback from others who have played it.

If you're into role-playing, final fantasy & disney, this IS a must-have! I love the game. Rumor has it the sequal will be coming out towards the end of this year!

It is alot of fun. Some of the latter bosses are very tough. My teenage niece and nephew were stuck at one for a year.

EB has Kingdom Hearts 2 release date as 12/31/04 but the manager told me it could be released at any time.

My DD has this game and likes it. She did get stuck in one area and now has given up. I've never played it, but from what I've seen it's great.

One of my sons favorite games. He's always calling me in to see the characters. I've tried to play it, I'm just video game challenged. I guess it's because I was never able to master Atari.

We have this and ALL of us love it! (DS 23, DD 13 & me - old enough to know better )

I never played other games - I'm just a Disney freak - and this sucked me right in. There were a few bosses that I had trouble with, but it was due to hand eye coordination - or lack thereof.

There are some good sites on the Web with walkthroughs and/or cheats, hints, whatever. I was usually able to get enough info to help me beat the bosses.

BTW - I tried Final Fantasy after that, but didn't enjoy it. However, Dark Cloud & Dark Cloud 2 are very similar to KH.

My son(16) bought it last summer and loved it. They also have the
Kingdom Hearts Original Soundtrack out....we all love this,

I'm really love playing games and have since I was tiny playing my cousins Atari! This game though, is one of my all-time favorites. It plays well, the graphics are great, and I just LOVE seeing all the characters!! I haven't played it for a while but every time I'd get to a new land it was so exciting! I think it's a MUST HAVE!!

I don't think I'd be exaggerating by saying this is the best Disney video game ever made. It's produced by Square, who make Final Fantasy, so it's got the epic story any good disney product needs. Plus, the graphics are beautiful....it really is like watching a cartoon (or playing one) with all your favorite characters.

That being said...has anyone noticed the best disney stories/projects, are not coming from Disney?

Have it and love it! My and I play it together though we haven't in awhile because we're hopelessly stuck on Ursula.

We have a lot of video games around here (DH is a HUGE geek - I've lost count of all the consoles we have) but this is the one that DS and I can sit down and play and just lose track of time.

Someday we'll beat Ursula - gotta find the PS2 first thoug, it's in a box somewhere

I played it when it came out. It is a "must buy". I have beaten it a couple of times.

Do you play the Final Fantasy series? If so I won't tell you who.......... I CANNOT BEAT!!!!!!

It is a must play for Squaresoft fans. A ton of "inside" jokes for us FF Fans!

It gets totally pathetic around here, DS and I will be playing and get stuck so we pull out the laptop and jump online to look at the FAQs and game guides. DH just at us, he thinks we've lost our minds. Of course he's the same man that stays up until 5am playing Halo

It's the second Ursula that we're stuck on - just when we think we've got her gone her strength comes back again and we're toast! UGGGGGGH!

Wow - seems like everyone loves this game. My DH is about to beat Final Fantasy now so I guess he'll probably like KH too.

With this being a Disney game I was afraid it'd be too easy, you know what I mean?

Definitelynot too easy! DS is definitely a gamer & really enjoyed this one. . . of course he thought it was really funny when I asked him to beat a couple bosses for me. (I eventually did them myself - but I don't want to say how many hours it took! ) That ice demon was AWFUL!

In this case Disney characters do not really equal child oriented. It has very broad appeal.
