Kingdom Hearts 2 release date?

I had preordered this one for DS for Xmas - it was suppose to be realeased in DEC before Xmas.

Now Amazon.com has an April 2006 release date and Target says March 2006.

Does anyone have any info the the new release date? Anyone else getting frustrated at the release dates constantly changing?

This was going to be a Xmas present for DS - I guess now it will be a bday gift - his bday is in April.

OH NO!! Kingdom Hearts 2 was one of my DS's Christmas presents too! Just found out yesterday that another game he wanted that was suppose to be released before Christmas (Zelda something) is now pushed to next year too. Guess it's back to the drawing board for ideas. I hate when that happens LOL.

My son, age 11, has been glued to the progress of this game. He says the current date is March 1, 2006. Watching the release date being pushed back has been driving him nuts.

LOL- our DS's must want the same games - the new Zelda was on his list too. I just broke the news to him that neither KH2 or Zelda will be here for Xmas - now he is looking for other games to put on his list.

My DS is 11 too and he has been patiently waiting for #2. He is getting antsy though with all the push backs on the release date though!

Honestly the release date is officially "spring". There is no date yet.

If they keep toying with the dates, this will be bigger than when Halo two came out! (Halo 2 knocked a presidental conference off the news. )

Its common for video games (especially high profile games like KH2 and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) to be pushed back. I see it as a good thing, usually its done to give the game developers more time to improve and perfect the game (even though many oft-delayed games end up being total junk, but I doubt that'll happen with either of these.)

I hope KH2 is good. I don't play video games really...but I bought a used PS2 so I could play the original Kingdom Hearts. I loved it. Since I finished it I only play Major League Baseball on my PS2, and I only play that like once a month. I've been looking forward to KH2, I was hoping id get it for Christmas.
