Kingdom camera rentals - highly recommended

Just wanted to say that I was really pleased with Kingdom Camera Rentals on our current trip. They stayed in touch, were on time for both the drop off and pick up, had no problem making different arrangements for drop off and pick up to accommodate my split stay, and it was really convenient dealing with someone in person like that. On my last trip I rented a lens and had it shipped to my resort but it felt like I was taking a gamble on it finding its way to me/letting a cast member ship it out for me. I rented a 17-55mm lens and it was a great walk around lens. Pricing was also pretty reasonable.

I second this. I also rented from them (for three weeks) for our trip last month and the service both before and after, was beyond outstanding.

They also have a Facebook fan page, as well as a Flickr group where you can upload photos you have taken with your rented lens(es).

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I contacted them about 3 weeks ago about renting a Canon 70-200 2.8 IS the 2nd week of Dec. and still haven`t heard anything back. I contacted them through the website. It`s a little far out but I just want to make sure it`s available when I go. How did you go about getting your lens and how far out did you set things up?

I know I`m going love it too. I have pretty much decided to get the Tamron 70-200 2.8 non VC but I`m not going to be able to swing it before our trip. I`m afraid that after using the Canon I`m not going to be happy with the Tamron. Oh well, I`ll cross that bridge when I get there.

I had one of my lenses broken while I was away (literally at the airport to come home now) and some one recommended Kingdom Camera Rentals.

Phoned them up at about 5.30pm one afternoon and they were able to deliver the same lens that had broken at 7.30am the next day. Brilliant!

Lens was great and the pricing for 6 days was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again!

I rented a v II (of course) and loved it. Found a v I on eBay from a reputable seller when I got home. It included a 2x v II extender (bundle deal). The lens and extender are immaculate. He told me so before I bought them but you know how that goes. Gave him $1500 to my door. All looked like it had never been used. A great deal? Maybe. Maybe not. A fair deal. Most certainly, IMHO and for me anyway.

For my use, I can't tell the difference between the v I and v II. If you argue with the pros, they'll give you a thousand reasons the v II is so much better. Bottom line is my photography skills aren't good enough to know the difference. I am VERY happy with what I got and what I paid.

Why did I bring this all up? A couple of reasons.

1. I would have never bought the lens except I rented it first from KCR. Don't get me wrong. I have drooled over thinking I wanted one for 5 years. It's different once you shoot a parade at WDW with it. You'll want it then.

2. Nothing against the third party stuff but for a Canon, there's the Canon White/L glass and there's everything else. I'd rather have a nice used Canon lens than to have a new third party lens. I know that's an argument just waiting to happen but it's the way I feel and that's all I can tell you. Lots of enthusiasts and pros agree with me.
