King Tut Exhibition

Its touring?

Is there any info on which cities its coming to? I'd like to see it. I love ancient Egypt.

Not only is it touring, but one of only four US stops is Philadelphia, so you're really in luck Goofy Girl!

This is NOT the same exhibition as a few years ago, however. Try www.kingtut.com

Yaay! Thanks for the info. I have to wait til 2007, but I am excited that it will be at the Franklin Institute.

Thanks for posting.

I "pre-registered" for tickets because I think we may make a special trip just to see it. I can't wait! :)

When I was in High School back in the 80's, a friend of mine ditched school, took the train into NYC and went to the King Tut Exhibit. Loved it! I didn't know they were touring again. Maybe I'll take my dd this time.

I also saw it when it was at the New Orleans Museum of Art back in the 80's.
It was very popular, lines to get in very long. Worth the wait.

Wow. it is coming to Chicago in May 06. I will not miss it this time. I want to see that exhibit so bad. I find that so interesting

I believe it is coming to Fort Lauderdale later this month.

We are going to try and catch it. :sunny:

I've always been interested in Egyptology. The Tut exhibit 20+ years ago was facinating. We're going to Chicago next summer to see it. Yay!

I can't Waite, it looks like Philly will be the closest for me, I went to the pyramids at Giza (Ciro) in the mid 90's and loved it.

Cool!

There is a Holiday VIP package that they are offering, here is some more info about it:

The package must be purchased in multiples of 2.
For $159, you will receive 2 monthly VIP tickets and 2 monthly audio head set rentals (which can be used at any date and time during the chosen month).

Regular tickets are sold for specific times, they cost $30 and don't include the head set rental. I called the museum today to ask for info on how these VIP tickets work, but I couldn't get through. I'll have to try again.

From what I've read, this time around teh exhibit if very different. No Tut mummy, no sarcophogus, just the urns his organs were in. And a lot of stuff is replicas. It sounds like the past exhibits were much much better.

We may go down to Ft. Lauderdale, but not until we receive a better review than the ones I've been seeing about this latest exhibit.

We're going to see it in Ft Lauderdale in March since we'll be down then for our cruise.
