On some other threads, I've read that members bring their own King Sized Fitted Sheet to their villa. I've been staying in DVC units since 2003 MULTIPLE times a year and have never thought to do this.

Can someone please enlighten me? :goodvibes

I haven't done it yet, but am seriously thinking about it.

DVC doesn't use fitted sheets on those King size beds. I know for us, the darn thing is always moving around and it can get uncomfortable. I've had to tuck it in more than once and sometimes on a daily basis.

My one concern is when you have a full cleaning, housekeeping wouldn't take *my* fitted sheet and replace it with a non-fitted sheet, would they?

I have a king fitted and queen fitted that I will bring depending on the type of room my DH and I have. I don't like that "fit" of the sheets that are put on the bed since they are not long enough to stay tucked into the bottom of the bed. We just slip the fitted sheet over the flat sheet and remake the bed when we get into the room. We have never had a problem with Mousekeeping taking the either sheet since they are not white sheets and we usually only have a trash and towel day.

OK, I admit it.

I bring my own fitted sheet.

Same reasons as everyone else stated... the resort ones come untucked & you can end up sleeping on the bare mattress.

Ditto. Although last month at AKV we decided to try it without switching sheets and we didn't seem to have a problem. Maybe the sheets at AKV are bigger? :confused3

Hmmm...I have to think back and try to remember if it came untucked on us at all. I just don't remember! I'll also have to ask DH.

I put a fitted sheet in our Owner's Locker. Got tired of the Disney sheets coming untucked at night and waking up with my face on a bare mattress.

I haven't had problems with the sheets coming untucked at WDW, but the ones at VB  .

What would you like to know, exactly?

We bring a king, a queen, and a twin fitted sheet with us to cover all our sleeping surfaces. I don't like the way the Disney sheets "fit" the bed, and I'm an..."active"...sleeper. So are the kids. So the sheets popping off in the middle of the night can be REALLY annoying...so be bring the fitted versions with us. They work like a charm.

They came untucked on us our first night at AKV back in January.

Admittedly, I'm a tosser and turner, so that doesn't help, I'm sure.

Yeah, I just don't recall them coming untucked on us at all. Maybe we pass out and don't move???

I am certainly not doubting what you all are telling me. That's what I wanted to know -- the reasons you all bring your own sheets.

THANKS!
