Hi everyone,

Having not been to the park now since late 2010 :sad2: and having broken our long-standing tradition of annual visits, my boyfriend and I are DEFINITELY booking a 3 night trip to the magic in May or June to experience a bit of the 20th anniv! Just waiting for the ride closures for May to be announced and then we're booking! :cool1:

We have only stayed at the Cheyenne and Santa Fe before and seeing as it's been a while, we thought we'd treat ourselves to an upgrade. We're leaning to towards Hotel New York but were wondering if it's possible in that hotel to have a room with one king size bed rather than two doubles and if so, how to go about trying to get one of these when we book.

Reason being when we stayed at Cheyenne last time we found the bed pretty comfortable but a bit on the small side as my boyfriend is 6ft5 so his feet were hanging over the edge! If we're paying more for a nicer hotel it would be nice to be comfier.

Also - would love people's opinions on whether or not they think it's worth booking HNY over SL?

Thanks all! :thumbsup2

Hi, yes you can request just a king size bedded room at the HNY. I'd suggest calling the hotel directly 3 days before you go (this is when your booking will be on the hotel system) and requesting a room with 1 bed.

Although, having stayed at HNY many times, i've never noticed a problem with the beds - maybe you'd benefit from having one each :lmao:

I've never stayed at SL so can't really compare. We like HNY so much we just keep going back there.

Happy planning :goodvibes

Thanks Julie - very helpful advice.

Also loving your idea about one bed each :rotfl: that way we can both do our best starfish impressions. Think we have a back up plan :goodvibes

Personally if you can afford the upgrade to HNY I would go for it being closer to the park/village, hot items at breakfast not that it will matter in may but if your other half is anything like DH he really enjoys a good breakfast lol! Xx

Thanks for that - yes I think being closer will be nice. Thinking particularly about what a mad rush it normally is when we dash all the way back to the Cheyenne to pick up our cases before getting the train!!

Good point about the breakfast too! I think the hot items will be a nice touch - hadn't thought of that :goodvibes. Sounds like your DH and my boyf have something in common there ;)
