We just rebooked our trip so we could do a split stay at the AKL and the WL. Anyone know of specific KING room numbers to request that have a great view or some other special perk?

For example I know that room 5032 at WL has an amazing view of the Castle, but it unfortunately has 2 queen/double beds. I'm hoping to find one like that with a King bed.

We are staying Std. Savannah view at AKL and Woods view at WL.

Thanks!

We have been to WL and AKL requesting King rooms only to be told at check-in they were all taken or only had a handicapped accessible one available. Just to let you know quite a few of the King's at each resort are HA. Each time we had a young toddler with us and absolutely needed a tub bath which the HA's don't have so we settled for the Queen/Queen option. I have read quite a few other posts about people not getting the King bed they requessted upon check-in also. This same situation happend with two of our friends who visited these resorts at other times. We were there during value season both times but I guess did not have the luck getting there at the right time! At AKL I even told them we would wait for a King for later in the day and they told me none were opening up.

So personally I'd be happy with ANY King room in the view I had reserved at WL or AKL!! ::MinnieMo

We stayed at WL a couple of weeks ago. We requested a King bed and when we checked in we were told only HA were available. That was fine with us. We had room 1034, woodsview. The only thing we could see was the otter pond, but at night when the fireworks went off, we could see them through the trees. It was a very nice room. It was the last one in the hallway, so it was quite and it was right around the corner from Roaring forks. Hope you have fun!

We have had a King Room at AKL 2 years in a row..

The first year, we had a ground-floor room facing the pool. It was lovely to open the patio door and see the pool. Cannot remeber if it was HA... probably was.

Last year we were upgraded (complimentary!) to a third floor Savannah view. The king room was at the end of a short hallway (very, very quiet!) and was a corner room... we could see all around the building from our beautiful balcony! Wish I could remember the room #... our rate was awesome: $119/night.

I know I'll never get that deal again!!

In June, we were upgraded (unexpectedly!) to a courtyard view at WL that had a king bed. It was handicap accesible and the bathroom was quite nice and large(no tub). It was room 2125 same floor as the lobby convenient to the exit to the busses and close to the WL mercantile. Loved the view of the falls and could see the EWP(partially, a few trees in the way) from our private balcony. Hope this helps!
