I'm looking for info from anyone who has stayed at the contemporary in a king room, particularly a tower MK side king room. Do the king rooms in the tower double as the barrier free rooms - i.e. shower stall instead of tub. We ran into this problem at WL for our honeymoon and ended up with 2 queens as the only way to get a tub during our stay. I hope to avoid that problem in Feb. I will probably end up calling and asking the front desk about the bathrooms but I figured I would ask here first.

We have stayed in various rooms in the Contemporary tower, most with a king bed.
I have never seen a room with just a shower and no tub.

Thanks Vacationwoman - that is exactly what I wanted to hear. We're from the Philly area too :)

I also just checked in my passporter and there was no notation for CR like there was for WL about no tubs.

Just stayed in the tower, MK-view, King room on 10/1 for our honeymoon. 9th floor. The rooms hadn't been rehabbed yet (but the bay lake side of the floor was closed and under going renovations). The room was phenomenal! It was HUGE! Maybe the largest I've ever stayed in (on Disney property at least...). It was not a hnadicapped access room which I have had at WL in the past. Go for it. You won't be disappointed. Waking each morning to the sounds of the WDW railroad whistle...heaven!
