King beds at Value Resorts

I see on Touringplans that the All Star resorts have some rooms with king beds and even a very few with a king and a double. We will be coming with my parents and I know they would prefer a larger bed. I was going to try to request one king room for them and a king/double for our family of 3 (husband, daughter, and myself). How likely am I to get these if I request them? Can you reserve them?

A king/double is an ada type room, usually designed for those who need a roll in shower, raised toilet with grab bars and a sink a wheelchair user can reach . It is a bookable category, but I don't think there are a lot of them. King rooms are not bookable but can be requested.

Limited number of Kings at values as regular rooms. You can request but no guarantees.

The King/Double is for handicapped guests who have someone traveling with them and needs to be in same room.

Not many king beds to be had.
As PP's have mentioned king/double is generally reserved for those with disabilities that need the additional amenities that come in those rooms.

For your parents I would think that they'd be perfectly happy in a room with 2 double beds as they could each have their own bed.

As for your room you could bring an air mattress for your daughter or contact them to see if you can get a roll away bed in addition to the 2 dbouble beds so that you and your DH could also each have a bed to yourself.

Otherwise if you want larger beds you'd either have to stay in a suite or move to a moderate resort.

It is my belief that, other than the special handicap rooms, the occupancy of king rooms is a maximum of 2.

Not sure if your post was in response to mine but I did go back and clarify an air mattress/roll away in addition to the 2 double beds so that each parent would have their own double bed.
I did not mean for it to seem like they could get a king bed and then add an air mattress or roll away.

Are the beds "moveable"? Like, could I shift a bed over to butt up against the other bed? If so, is there room for an air mattress?

Yes they can move and yes there is room for an air mattress. you can lean the airmattress against the wall when not in use to give you more room to walk.

I did this at POP before when I went with a friend and her sister.
They did not want to hare a bed so they brought an air mattress.
Of course my friend's sister found out that she doesn't find air mattresses to be very comfortable but they still did not want to share a bed so she dealt with it.

The 3 of us are sharing a room when we go to DLR in June and I'm not sure what we are doing about the bed situation lol.
