We just returned from our first trip at WDW and I wanted to share just a few magical moments from our trip.

On our first morning, we went to AK for an 8 am ps for Donald's Breakfast and when we walked into the park, a CM walked up to my ds9 and dd4 and said she found 2 lucky dimes and gave one to them. They were so excited. This is one of those little things that really means alot, especially to young children.

One evening we stayed late at MK and when we got on the bus, it was standing room only. But we were grateful to catch the bus. My dh and ds4 were in the restrooms and I saw that the AKL bus was waiting. So I spoke loudly to my dh to hurry or we would miss our bus. There was a CM walking by and she asked what bus we needed. She picked up her radio and asked the bus to wait for our family. We ran to the bus and it was full (no problem because we were thrilled not having to wait for another bus).

My dh was holding dd4 and I was holding ds4 and my ds9 was leaning against me. After about 5 minutes, a very kind man came up to me and said there was a seat at the back of the bus for me. I was so grateful, but I felt so bad because the space didn't have room for my ds9. So I asked my ds9 if he would be okay standing by dad and he said yes. So I took the seat. Once I got settled in, I looked up and my dh was also sitting and had both children on his lap and a very kind lady was standing. I know this lady saw how that it was hard for me to take a seat and leave my dh, ds4, and ds9 standing. I sat in my seat and tears just started rolling down my face. We didn't expect anyone to give up their seat because we were last ones on the bus and we knew that there was a chance we would have to stand and were fine with that.

But all three of our children fell asleep on the bus and it was such a peaceful ride back to AKL. I am SO GRATEFUL to those kind people who gave up their seat.

So, I reciprocated the kindess the next night. A family was standing and their dd4 was very tired. My dd4 was on my lap, but I told the mom that her daughter could sit on my lap also. The mom seemed surprised and asked if I could hold 2 children. After I told her I have twins, she was so thankful, but I was so glad to help out. She kept thanking me for holding her dd for the bus ride.

I can't mention all of the kindness that was extended to us, but I was so impressed with the CM's and tourists. It was amazing and we want to go back so much.

That is called the chain of Love.
I am a firm believer in it.
Kindness breeds kindness.
If someone is kind to you pass it on.
Try to do something nice for someone everyday and watch how it spreads.
Thanks for sharing your stories. You made my day a brighter one.
Pixie dust for you and everyone reading your post :wizard:

Thanks for your kind replies - the magic is just as wonderful when given as it is when received!!!!

I am so glad to hear some KINDNESS stories. :)

We are 6 days away from our trip and my DD7 is down with pink eye & a bad cold. I am a little stressed and it was so nice to hear of your great experiences. :sad2:

Thanks! You've made me excited about our trip again! :flower:

We see so many posts on these boards about rudeness at WDW, it was so nice to read your story. Hopefully, everyone who reads this will find a way to show kindness to a stranger tomorrow!

I'm crying too!!

Thanks for sharing! I find that I am so touched when people are kind and go out of their way for my kids. (We need a happy smiley face that is crying!)

You sound like someone who notices the good things in life and holds onto them instead of concentrating on the bad stuff. What a blessing for your children. :flower:

CMs really work hard to make WDW a magical place and this is the reason why we go year after year. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

This is a great "pay it forward" story. Thanks for the account of your trip.

Personally, I think there are many more kindess acts at WDW than there are rude acts, it just seems society as a whole likes to hear about the bad ones first.

We always try and do acts of kindess while we are there....one simple thing - just to make the person's day - whenever we see a birthday button we alwyas say Happy Birthday to that person...I have yet to not make someone smile!! Most children forget they have it on and they say -wow Mom, they knew it was my birthday....:) and the bride and groom ears - we always say Congrats....

we are always willing to give up seats and even places in line simply because we know we'll be back and it is not important that we do things right then...it feels good when others appreciate your gestures and always makes us want to do it more.

We were at the luau once and the family next to us had just arrived at the Poly, checked in and had come to dinner...they were all tired, cranky and did not have a great check in experience...the mom and dad were almost yelling at the children, since we were sitting right there next to each other I started speaking to the kids and then offered them color books and crayons (I always keep plenty in my goodie bag) the mother looked at me and mouthed "thank you" - it helped ease the situation a bit and it made all of our dinners a pleasent one.

ah....I would love to work there....if I could convince DH to move just a tad closer I could!!

Your story was very uplifting. i think i woulda sat there and wept too. I got choked up on our last trip (christmas 04) when a cm gave my son (8) a pin for his lanyard as it only had 1 pin on it. The cm said it was only for very well behaved children that it was a very special pin. Then the cm asked my daughters if son was good. of course they said yes. Soon after that another cm also gave him one while we were waiting in line at McDonalds in AK. It made his day, he was soo happy. I was glad for him as it was hot and the kids were being very patient waitting in line. It was an unexpected reward.
