Depends what you want it for, Matt has the iPad 3, says he would not want the smaller screen, the one he has is small enough.

I agree, I have my phone with its 4 inch screen and an iPad with a 10 inch screen, I'm not massively keen on anything in between, size wise.

Also if you want to bag a bargain by getting an iPad '3', do it soon as unlike previous generations, it won't be sold more cheaply alongside the current model

I bought a Kindle Fire HD two weeks ago at Best Buy (after reading Tony's trip report about buying them there! ) and am delighted with them. I have an iPad with a kindle app but not happy taking that to the beach or pool and hate the old fashioned Kindle so went for the fire. They weren't out in the UK (typically released the day I bought one!) so didn't know the exact price but I am very happy with it and the price I paid.
