Kindle ?

I have a fairly new kindle, but I dont know if its me or if the amazon network is down. Is anyone else having trouble connecting or is it just me? I keep getting a message that I cant connect. If I try to turn it on it goes off right away. If someone can answer I would be grateful.

After seeing your post, I decided to check my Kindle. I had no problem connecting via WiFi and downloading a book.

I'm fairly new to this also, but try going to menu and checking if the wireless is on/off. Try to change that and maybe it will turn on again?

Also, on the home page, in the uper right hand corner, do you have the little (Wi-Fi) symbol, and the bars of strength next to it?

Can't help you a lot, but wanted to add: you should turn off your wi-fi when you're done actively downloading books--it uses a lot more battery power when it's left on.

Also, if you go to the Amazon website you can find the instruction manual that goes with your Kindle. Reading it one day helped me learn a lot more about my Kindle. Plus, it was easier on the website to read something then try it out.

Its connected now. Amazing service through amazon. Some how my service got disconnected and all I did was looking through the book store. Go figure. Thanks for all your answers.
