I think that is the thing that all e-readers have the most appeal over. . No need to add another groaning bookshelf to your house.. We moved to our first house last year, and the amount of books in boxes we had was staggering. And backbreaking!

I agree with you on that too. I do like reading real books but I have seen where they can consume a lot of storage and sometimes are hard to store. All the books I had a kid and teen are still at my parents house and there are two bookshelves in my old room. My oldest nephew is 6 and he is learning to read so he will probably get some of my old books at some point. Ebooks and ereaders eliminate some storage needs and worries. I don't have a Kindle but I have the Kindle app on my iPod Touch and have purchased 10 books through it. I have read 2 of those books. I'll be going to San Francisco in December for a two week work related trip. I will have some downtime everyday during that trip so having stuff to read on my iPod Touch will come in handy. I am thinking about buying a Kindle at some point.

So I was all set to buy a Kindle (after being torn between the two) in the next couple weeks... after reading this thread I'm back to being torn!
