Kindle help

I just purchased a Kindle and I can't get it to go to the Amazon Store. It's like it won't connect to our wireless.

Anyone?

I've never had an issue with it connecting... you don't have the wireless turned off, do you? I can't remember if it came turned on or off.

Remember it doesn't use your wireless it uses what a cell phone uses so if you are in an area with no cell service, you won't be able to connect.

I have cell connection in my house. I wonder if it is broken

Look at the top of your Kindle screen. Do you see bars that show a cell signal? - just like on a cell phone.

Yes, make sure the wirless is on and also that you have gone on to Amazon and registered the Kindle. Both of those things will effect the connectivity.

The internet was on. I tried that. It kept saying it couldn't make a connection. When I tried to register it on the Kindle it wouldn't connect again

click on the tab that says phone and put your info in. A Kindle Specific Customer Svc person will call you and they almost always call within 5 or 10 minutes.

when I had a problem at first I called amazon and they walked me though how to fix it. You do not have to have wireless for it to work. I usually buy mine online and then turn on the whispernet on the kindle and download and then turn it off since it uses the battery faster.
