I am going to order a cover for my stepmother's birthday. Under the heading "style", I am able to choose between "Cover with Corners" or "Cover with Velcro."
What do they mean? Which would you pick? Thanks!
The Oberon covers come in the two styles (velcro and straps).
The velcro style comes with a large swatch of velcro that attaches to the back of your kindle and matches the other swatch attached to the leather cover. The velcro is what holds your Kindle in the cover.
The strap style comes with three leather corner straps and one "bungee" style strap and they are what hold your Kindle in place.
I chose the corner straps as I wasnt keen on gluing velcro to the back of the Kindle.
Others find the thin black straps obtrusive and would rather not be able to see them.
It's all personal choice.
I was just reading on the
amazon Kindle discussion forums that the folks at Oberon are on vacation until 1/11/10. If that makes a difference, you may want to check.
I also read that someone found a design on another Oberon item that is not usually offered as a Kindle cover design and called the company asking about the availability of that design as a Kindle cover. They were told that it would not be an issue and that they would be happy to make that design as a Kindle cover.
Just something to keep in mind.
