I am hoping for at least to have the points available outside the 7 month timeline for the 11/12 week.....I think that's my only shot. Of course, I could get lucky and find a cancellation. But, I'm not banking on it. We do travel that time of year mostly, b/c of our work schedules, so we won't encounter this problem going forward; we will be booking at 11 months for Oct/Nov after this year.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you generally find you can get into BCV other times of the year easier? When do you usually go down?

We go to BCV in the winter (either Dec or Jan), May and then again in October. I currently have 3 BCV studios booked for May and I have a 2 bedroom plus a studio booked for October, all at BCV.

The only times my waitlist has not come through at BCV are during F&W and early December. For these dates, I try to book before the 7 month window opens. I also didn't get in once in May, I think in 2008.

Except for F&W, I don't really care. BCV is not my favorite resort. If I can get into Kidani, I'm happy.

We are planning on buying additional points at either BWV or BCV to have October/November access for F&W festival as well. We got lucky and were able to change our BLT reservation to 2 nights in a studio and 2 nights in a 1 bedroom at BWV this year but we are not going to chance it again.

Epcot area during F&W Festival is a huge part of our Disney fun. Good luck to all who are trying to flip reservations now!!

Would love to hear any thoughts on best strategy. Right now we are planning on buying enough points for 4 nights in a studio as an add on.

We got a 1 bdrm at BCV this past Nov 6 to 14 at the 7 month window...no problem at all!
I called this morning for Oct 8 to 16...I'm waitlisted...so we'll see. If I don't get it, we'll have a great time at Kidani!
