You're ON! I'll stick with the 4x/week running for an additional week after WDW to be fair. (I must've caught you in a generous mood...I thought for sure you'd give me a bunch of crap!!) :teeth:

I haven't had a pill in over a week, my mind is about to EXPLODE with everything going on around here, and I would kill my dog for a sweet tea....so yea.....VERY GENEROUS!!! :teeth:

oh yeah...glad mom is home, that is the best place to make a person feel better!! She's still in my prayers....hope they find and fix everything!

Hi there,

Good news that your mom is home....that is great!!!

You did great on your run....don't be hard on yourself...you said you looked at your watch and you were mad...no need to be mad. You got out and there and did it and that is all that matters!

Keep up the great work!

Have a good evening :)

Hey all...

This weekend was great. It was soooo good to have mom home and feeling better.

I did run again today (who knew all I needed was a little challenge :confused3 ). I actually ran 4 miles around the neighborhood in 43 minutes. That last mile was definitely a struggle, but I'm glad I did it. I needed to get out of my comfort zone of that 3 miles.

DD has cheerleading camp every morning this week, and then she'll go to her summer day camp after that until I get out of work. Poor girl is gonna be exhausted!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Kim, glad to hear some good news!

Great job on the run!

Wendy

Hi Kim,

Glad to hear that your mom is at home now. How is she doing?

You did a great job on your run! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Have a great week! :sunny:

HI KIM!!! :goodvibes

I'm really proud of you for getting out there and running :). And that was a great time for your 4 miles!!! SUPER EFFORT GIRL!!! :cheer2:

Glad to hear that mom is home!!! Still thinking about her bunches!

And hey....sent you a pm ;)

Hey Kim!!!! Where The Heck Are You?? Not Running, So Your Not Posting...huh??????

Come Out Come Out Where Ever You Areeeeeeee!!!!

4 miles in 43 minutes Way to Go!!!! Don't push it too much too fast though...I struggled with mile 5 for the longest, so I understand how mile 4 was tough for you. Just keep getting those steps in and you'll do great!

So glad your mom is home!!! Hopefully they'll get it figured out soon, but I know it is good for everyone's morale that she is out of the hospital.

You are gonna rock that 5k in August!!

Have a great day!

Hey guys!

Marie - I've been too busy posting on your journal to post on mine! And someone yelled at me to get back to work yesterday & stop posting :rolleyes1 .

Scott - thanks for the advice. I'll be staying at 4 miles as my long run for a few weekends and then I'll try a little further. I'm honestly not all that worried about my time right now, but I like to log it just to be able to look back on.

Amy - I'm so glad you're back! It's a bummer that we can't do the 10K together...but we'll find another race!

Tracy - thanks as always for your continued support. You're always a welcome ray of sunshine! :sunny:

Wendy - I appreciate you stopping by, too. I'm constantly amazed at the outpouring of friendship on the WISH boards.

Jamie - it's good to hear from ya! Thanks for coming by!

Jen - where've you been? Where's my DISmeet buddy?? :confused3 ;)

Well, since Marie called me on it...No, I hadn't run since Sunday...until today. I ran 3.2 miles in 33.30 minutes. So I shaved off 30 seconds from my last run. Honestly I felt like I was really going fast today...so I was a tad surprised when I was only 30 seconds faster...but I'm ok with it. Like I said to Scott above, I'm honestly not torturing myself over times. I do check the time when I'm done running, but that's it. If I do run the 3.2 miles in say 40 minutes at this point, then I'd focus on what's going on and fix it. Besides that, it's all about getting out there and putting in the steps. :moped:

So, Marie...week 1 of my challenge is almost over, and I have 2 days to get another run in. I'm so glad you gave me this challenge. I needed it!!! :teeth:

You're not weakening on me, are ya?? Come on now, you're almost 1/2 way there!!! Think about how good that tall glass of sweet tea is gonna taste after 30 days without it!! You'll cherish it even more!

Have a great trip, by the way!

Hi Kim, I noticed from your sig that you're also from South Jersey and see a nutritionist from the area. I'm thinking about doing that also, and would appreciate info on her office. I think the best recommendations come from another patient, and not neccessarily from a Dr. You could PM me with the info. It's alright if you're not Ok with doing that..I certainly understand. I enjoy reading your journal...very motivating. Thanks!

Hi Kim. Thought I'd just stop for a read and send some great wishes!

Besides, I always have a great smile after reading!

Wendy

Hey Wendy....thanks for stopping by! Yes, my journal (as long as Marie is around  ) is always good for a laugh. I love going back & forth with her!

Well...I squeaked by and got my 4th run of the week in today! WHEW! I think my body is in shock. I go a month with running maybe twice...and then jump back in like this!?!?! Anyway, I was able to do the 3.2 miles in 33 minutes even. Yes, that's a faster time than Wednesday...but I felt SO much worse today. I really have to get my you-know-what to bed much earlier the nights before I run. Getting 5-6 hours of sleep just doesn't cut it. (why, oh why, am I such a TV junkie? :confused3 ) I tried to get out of it, but DH reminded me that I told DD7 just yesterday that quitting wasn't an option when she had had enough of cheerleading camp! (don'tcha hate when those things come back to bite ya? :rotfl: ) So I got out there, and with the first step out the door I could feel the heat and humidity weigh down on my shoulders. BUT - enough whining...I finished and I completed my first week of my 4 week challenge. (is there a smilie for someone passed out exhausted? ;) I seriously was thinking in my cold shower after my run....I think I could climb right back in bed & go back to sleep! Aren't I supposed to be all energized?? :confused3 :rotfl: :sad2:

Well, all....I'm taking DD7 to see Hilary Duff tonight with a friend and her DD. Tomorrow morning (weather permitting) my Dsis and I are having a yard sale. Then I think I'm having 2 of my nephews sleep over. Sunday is my long run (4 miles) and DS4's karate test. I guess we'll be pretty busy. I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!!

GREAT JOB on the runs, Kim!! So proud of you!! Be careful out there in the heat...I've had to push my runs pretty late into the evening (10pm last night ;) ) You're keeping an awesome pace though!! (just don't push too hard!)

Can I tell you how much my DD wants to see Hilary?? She'd be sooo jealous of you guys!! Have a blast at the show and give us a review when you get back!

have a great day and weekend!! (GO dr. Will and James!!!)
