Kimonos or Bluezoo?

Ok first, those are the cutest pictures EVER!

I have not been to either but have read fantastic reviews of Blue Zoo

I have been to Bluezoo - and it was fabulous. Great food and great atmostphere. Go there! I don't know about the other place, though.

I've been to both- Blue Zoo was incredible with wonderful service and high prices. I got the Cantonese lobster. :thumbsup2
Kimono's we go to on most trips- we love the sushi and tempura, good drinks, good service AND a DVC discount!:)

Thanks everyone! We will be staying at the Dolphin in May and wanted to try a new restaurant. Who knows?, maybe we'll do both.

We have also been to both and think they are both excellent.

Bluezoo dining room pretty "formal" (still resort casual but it's a fairly expensive, full dining experience). Food was great each time, service excellent. We have also eaten on the Cafe side (nearer the bar, as you come in) which is slightly less formal, and good for a cocktail and apps -- really neat food preparations/creations.

Kimonos is a solid sushi bar, more casual than Bluezoo. If you enjoy Japanese/sushi, you will likely love this place. After 9:30ish, loud and crazy with the kareoke, but fun (if you like that). Before then, starting at 5:30, calm, pleasant sushi bar, with great food and great service. (not really kid oriented) This is our favorite WDW dining experience (but we're also huge sushi fans).

The menus on swandolphin.com are fairly up-to-date.

We enjoy bluezoo. It's got more of a formal adult vibe to it, food is very good.

Have not tried Kimonos.

DH and I went to bluezoo a few years ago and it has been my favorite meal ever in WDW. Amazing! I desperately want to go back.

Bluezoo is wonderful, but as other posters have said, very adult oriented. We visited in August '08 for dinner and there was only one child in the entire restaurant and he was around 11 or 12 years old. Not sure if you had planned on taking your adorable baby:goodvibes to eat or not. We used Kids Night Out for our DS while we dined there and then went to ESPN to watch some baseball and have a few drinks. It was a great evening. We have also been to Kimonos and the sushi is very good too. :)

Like others said Blue Zoo is more adult.

Flying Fish is better than Blue Zoo.

Your mileage may vary, but I found Todd English's bluezoo™ to be just as excellent as Flying Fish.

I think you can't go wrong with either.

Same here, we loved Bluezoo, just got there during our last trip. It's really fabulous, great food. :thumbsup2

I would disagree with this. bluezoo is the best seafood on property, narcoosee is second, and Flying Fish third. All really good, but bluezoo ranks #1. It is a much different restaurant than Kimono's - as others have said - but you should definitely try both. Also, think about trying Il Mulino at the Swan if you want a different Italian food experience. We did flatbreads and drinks at the bar during our last trip - fabulous (but again - pricey!)

2 people eating off the "snack" menu at Blue Zoo in May?
Thanks! :goodvibes

If you mean the limited bar menu, you can order food there. There's a flatbread pizza served in the bar that isn't on the main menu. It was fantastic.
