Read about this activity at Epcot.
What's the deal? Anyone do this?

We did it with my DD11 last month. There are kimpossible stations around EPCOT. You give them your park ticket to scan and they give you a "kimmunicator". It gives you missions to complete in a country. I think there were 5-7 if I remember right. When you are finished with that country, you can choose to stop or you can pick another country. You can do all of the missions or just one. I wasn't really hip on the idea, but my DD wanted to so we did. It ended up to be really neat. I would recommend it:thumbsup2

My DGD (8 yrs) did all six, one after another. She was crazed, racing from clue to clue. They did a great job with this...you should try it.

Did this in December with DS10 and DD 12. Registered at the KimPossible station on the left just before entering World Showcase, then picked up the Kimunicators:laughing:just inside of the WS heading to the left. We got the mission at the China Pavillion. The kids ripped around looking for the clues, while I enjoyed the exhibits! I think that without this I would have been dragging to sullen tweens around - instead they were leading me! What I loved the most is that the kids started asking the CMs in China for help, and it was great to see that interaction! They even had all of the waitresses at the restaurant huddled together listening to the clue - one of them then lead them outside to show them where to go! I think it is a super idea to snaz up the countries for this age group (to big for the Kidcot...)

My wife and I did it last time on our solo trip - it certainly makes you slow down and take the time to see and visit areas in each country we would certianly just have walked by - I would recommnded this to people and kids of all ages !!

DD11 did it, but only did 2 missions.

She enjoyed it, but got bored with it quickly.

This is a great activity for the whole family. You see things in the countries you might have overlooked otherwise. Plus you will learn secrets in these countries! My little ones enjoyed having control of the cell phone!

My only advice is that if the park is busy, do not wait until you are ready to do the mission to register. When we were ready, we went to the kiosk and got a ticket (like a fastpass) with a return time of an hour and 20 mins. later to pick up our kimmunicator in the WS. By that time we only had time to do one mission before our ADR.

So glad to find out I'm not the only adult's only group that wants to do this. My DH of course thinks i'm crazy, but he'll suffer through it, and I'm sure he'll have as much fun with it as I plan to have....
