Killing time in Miami before flight

hi all,
We have a 6pm flight out of fll on the day of debarkation in Miami. From what I have read on these boards, I assume we will be off the ship by 10 AM at the latest. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to kill time between then and 3 o'clock in the afternoon when we had back to Fort Lauderdale? Or even any suggestions as to what to do in Fort Lauderdale before the flight? The husband will have to log into his work computer to catch up so it will be just me and my three girls. Obviously we will have our luggage with us as well. I was contemplating asking the hotel that we're staying at pre-cruise if we could come back and use their pool and hang out but I don't know if this is asking too much? Anyone have any experience with this?

They may do a day rate for you at the Hotel, i.e. have a room to place belongings and use pool and DH can use Wi-Fi. Some chains do that. I would call and ask now as to secure it, if it is possible.
Edited to Add: just googled it and there seem to be quite a few that do this and some have free shuttle to Airport. Do a Google for Day Rate Hotels in Ft. Lauderdale - Good luck
