Kilimanjaro - Question on Serving

Many apologies, if this has been asked previously, but is food still provided at the AKV Club? If so, how is it served? My hubby refuses to return bc he believes all the unruly kids contaminated the food and made him sick the last time we stayed. LOL! But, if staff now serves, I might persuade him to return. Anyone know the procedures/offerings now? I have points I want to use, but don't really want to go to Parks, so eating sounds like a good alternative.

AKV Club is closed until further notice. Nothing is provided.

No open date for AKL has been announced, and it is unlikely the Club Lounge will reopen for anyone until the hotel opens. The economics of offering Club Service for the 5 DVC units is not good, and there are no kitchens open at AKL right now as all amenities are shuttered.

Jambo DVC units are open. And the pool. But the AKL hotel units, front desk, and all places to eat remain closed until an unspecified date.

Grand Floridian reopens shortly, which will be the next deluxe to open. Beach Club, BWI, WL (hotel) and Poly are all closed, with only Poly having a tentative date of Summer 2021 to reopen. I'd expect Jambo to be one of the last deluxe resorts to reopen based on number of units. It's about twice the size of BC, BWI or WL, so it would be more gradual to reopen one of those. The reopen of GF adds a lot of deluxe capacity to the system; only YC and Contemporary are currently open. (Note: I am talking only hotel side, no DVC. Copper Creek and VWL are open; VGF has been open, BWV and BCV are open. Poly DVC is open.)

Thanks for the information. It would be very upsetting to spend extra points for no amenities, and that category is shown as available this fall.

The website does say that if they are still not available when someone stays, they will be refunded backs to standard view after the trip.

At first, they were upgrading and moving to Kidani, but I think with the fall being busier time, that may not have been feasible still.
